めているのは、発泡ウレタンを破砕して、フロン11の
放出が促進させることを抑制し、且つ破砕処理能力(容
積に依存する)の制約を回避することが出来る為であ
る。フロンガスの放出を最小限におさえ、しかも気流選
別できる大きさとしては150〜200mm角程度が望
ましい。気流選別により発泡ウレタンを除去された後、
粗破砕片は未だ100〜300mmの寸法を保持してお
り、以降の金属やプラスチック類の選別には大きすぎ、
又金属相互のからみつきも一部存在して選別効率を低下
させる恐れがある。この為、最後に細破砕(切断)機を
設け、金属とプラスチック類を20〜80mm角に破砕
し、またガラス類は更に微小片に破砕する。望ましい大
きさは回収後の処理を考慮したら、50mm角程度がよ
い。以上の処理により、発泡ウレタンはフロン11回収
無害化の工程に搬送し、またその他の成分(金属類,プ
ラスチック類,木片等)は以降の選別に便なる寸法ま
で、破砕して搬出する。

経過して、気流選別機4に達する。気流選別機4は、下

ない)より導入された気流により、発泡ウレタンをダク
ト11より排出させる。発泡ウレタンは、見掛比重が
0.02程度と非常に小さく、分離は比較的容易であ

スク寸法を40mm幅とし、周上に16枚のカッタを装
着した直径400mmのディスクにより細破砕して平均
約50mm角程度に細破砕した。全体的に小型化されて
いるが、処理能力に大きな影響をおよぼす発泡ウレタン
材が除去された後では十分処理能力を維持する。細破砕
された排出物12は、シュートc10を通過してコンベ
ヤ6にて次工程へ搬出される。排出物12の成分は、原
料より容積の大きな割合を占める発泡ウレタンが除去さ
れ、平均寸法が50mm角程度に揃えられ、後工程によ
る選別、分離に、適度な形状となる。なお、本実施例で
は投入部にシュート1を用いたが、ホッパーでもよく、
また各装置間のつなぎはシュート7,8,10を使用し
たが、部材を移動できる手段、例えばベルトコンベヤ、
