体の軸線を挟んで相対向する位置に一対の切割り溝が形
成されていると共に該切割り溝の延長上の肩部近傍の外
周面に一対のナットが固定されており、該拡大円筒部の
内面には円筒ガスケットが圧入されていると共に該円筒
ガスケットの内面には内管が差し込まれており、円筒部
と該円筒部外周面に相対向する一対の耳部を備えた押圧
リングが該円筒部の端面を前記円筒ガスケットの端面に
当接させ、一対の耳部をそれぞれ拡大円筒部の切割り溝
に挿入させて該内管外周面に嵌挿されており、該押圧リ
ングの耳部にはそれぞれボルトが嵌挿されていると共に
該ボルトは前記拡大円筒部に固定されたナットに螺合せ
しめられており、該ボルトの締め付けにより円筒ガスケ
ットは軸方向に押圧されて該拡大円筒部内面と内管外面
との間の空間部に圧縮され、当該空間部を密に閉塞する
ことを特徴とする排気管継手。
