管継手であって、押圧、固定手段は、外管の拡径端部に
管軸に沿って伸びて形成された少なくとも一対の切割り
溝と、外管の拡径端部に設けられた外管側の係止部と、
切割り溝のそれぞれを通って外管外に伸びかつ内管の拡
径部に設けられた内管側の係止部と、一端が外管側の係
止部に当接し、他端が内管側の係止部に当接して外管の
拡径端部の外周面に配された押圧部材と、この押圧部材
を外管の拡径端部に締付け保持する締付けバンドとを具
備し、円筒ガスケットは、押圧部材により内管の肩部を
介して外管の肩部に向って押圧されており、押圧部材
は、その管軸に沿う方向の長さが伸ばされるように、締
付けバンドの締付けにより弾性変形されており、外管の
拡径端部は、締付けバンドの締付けにより内管の拡径部
に押圧、固定されている排気管継手。

おいて外管の拡径端部の外周面に、管軸方向に弾性変形
可能な押圧部材を配し、この押圧部材の外周面に配した
締付けバンドを締め付け、この締め付けにより押圧部材
を弾性変形させて管軸方向に伸ばして、円筒ガスケット
が内管の肩部を介して外管の肩部に向って押圧されるよ
うに、押圧部材の一端を外管側の係止部に当接させ、そ
の他端を内管側の係止部に当接させると共に、前記締め
付けにより押圧部材を介して外管の拡径端部を内管の拡
径部に押圧、固定する排気管継手の製造方法。
