Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the safety and easiness in works of extending mild steel bars for fixation from the head of a PC pile, such extension being required when construction works are executed in the neighborhood of the pile head in the pile foundation. CONSTITUTION:A ring-form end plate 2 is fixed to the head of a PC pile 1 and provided with a plurality of threaded holes 3a, 3b. The threaded hole 3a is blocked with the head of a PC steel material 4 arranged at the PC pile 1 in tone condition that the PC pile is embedded in the ground, while the other 3b remains out of blocking to admit driving of a fixation rod 5. According to the conventional technique, such a fixation rod 5 is connected with the end plate 2 by welding and it involves risk of current leak accident, but this new system improves the safety and easiness in works.
