Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain rapid processing as compared with a system for mechanically cutting and returning a receipt by reading out the image of at least a receipt part of a bill/receipt. CONSTITUTION:A card type public rate automating device is constituted of a card reading/writing part 1, a bill/receipt receiving processing part 2, a copied receipt output processing part 3, and a controller 4 and connected to a host through a host communication part 5. A mail transfer accountable receipt 12 is a receipt part and the image of the receipt part is read out by a receipt reading image sensor part 2b in the processing part 2 and stored in a bill/receipt storing part 2c. Simultaneously, the image is printed out by an image printer receipt copying part 3a in the processing part 3, a receiving stamp is affixed to the copy by a receiving stamp part 3b and the stamped receipt is outputted from a customer automatic output part 3c and received by a customer. Consequently, this procedure can improve a processing speed as compared with the system for mechanically cutting off a receipt at the time of its returning.
