Abstract

PURPOSE:To provided a multifunctional composite material having mildew proofing and moth proofing capacities with excellent moisture and water absorptivity by mixing a simultaneously porous inorganic body to keep vegetables and fruits fresh with the absorption of an ethylene gas or the like while a sodium polyacrylate is mixed. CONSTITUTION:A first laminate sheet body 10 is made up of a breathing and water-absorptive support 12 and a water absorbing agent 16 comprising sodium polyacrylate dispersed between the support and a porous film 14 which has pores cut but is non-water permeable though able to breath. The support 12 and the breathing porous film 14 are joined together by a heat sealing. A second laminate sheet body 18 is made up of a simultaneously porous organic powder 24 interposed between supports 20 and 22 each comprising a water-absorptive unwoven cloth or the like. The second laminate sheet body 18 is stuck on the top surface of the support 12 of the first laminate sheet body 10 using an adhesive 26. Thus, a multifunctional composite material is produced which makes an odorous gas non-odorous while being capable of absorbing moisture and water quickly and in large quantities.

18 is a second laminated sheet body. This second laminated sheet body 18 consists of two supports 20 made of breathable, water-absorbent nonwoven fabric, coarse resin split woven fabric, or the like.
.. An inorganic porous powder 24 having continuous pores is interposed between the holes 22 and 22 . To form this second laminated sheet body 18,
It is preferable to mix a small amount of an organic binder into the inorganic porous powder 24 and press it between the supports 20 and 22.

The inorganic porous body 24 has a crystal structure as shown in FIG.

Although it looks similar to asbestos, asbestos has a completely different structure, consisting of plate-shaped crystals of talc wound into a roll. Because it has these tunnel-like pores, it has gas absorbency about 60 times that of maifan stone, and it also has a unique adsorption ability to adsorb odor components. Further, the inorganic porous powder 24 has gas absorbing properties and water absorbing properties, and retains or releases these.

The second laminated sheet body 18 is bonded to the upper surface of the support 12 of the first laminated sheet body 10 using an adhesive 26. As the adhesive for bonding the nonwoven fabrics together, a rubber adhesive is preferable. Also, instead of applying the adhesive all over the surface,
It is best to apply the adhesive partially, such as in the form of a mesh, so that water and moisture can pass through.

Also, since the adhesion between nonwoven fabrics is not very good,
As shown in FIG. 4, the nonwoven fabrics can be bonded together effectively by bonding the nonwoven fabrics through an adhesive sheet in which adhesive is applied to both surfaces of a mesh-like synthetic resin sheet.

As mentioned above, the inorganic porous powder 24 has continuous porosity and has a gas absorbency about 60 times that of Maifan stone.
The odorous gas is absorbed by the inorganic porous powder 24, its odorous components are adsorbed on the inner walls of the tunnel-like pores, and the odorous gas is released in an odorless state. Furthermore, since the inorganic porous powder 24 has excellent ethylene gas absorption properties, it is effective in maintaining the freshness of vegetables, fruits, and the like. It can be used by directly wrapping vegetables, fruits, etc., or by placing it in a storage container. Furthermore, as will be described later, it is also excellent in absorbing moisture from vegetables, fruits, etc.

Sodium polyacrylate has extremely high water absorption of about 2.41/rrf. In the case of silica gel, it absorbs rapidly, but when it is saturated with moisture, it loses its ability to absorb moisture completely and releases only a small amount of absorbed moisture. Therefore, we cannot expect much moisture adjustment effect. On the other hand, sodium polyacrylate can absorb moisture and water introduced from the upper part quickly and in large quantities, and also has a certain degree of dissipation ability, so it also has an appropriate humidity control ability.

As is clear from Table 1, the moisture absorption ability of silica gel reaches a saturated state within one week, but in this example, the moisture absorption rate is high and the moisture absorption ability is not lost even after three weeks.

Because of its excellent water absorption, it can be effectively used as wall materials to prevent condensation. For example, when air at 40°C and 11°C reaches 0°C, approximately 117g of dew water will condense on one ceiling surface. However, this composite material body has about 20 times the water absorption capacity, and its water absorption and water retention capacity is about 2400g per bottle. This corresponds to 5.7 to 6.4 kg in terms of silica.

Since the perforated breathable film 14 does not allow moisture to pass through, the moisture absorbed by the sodium polyacrylate does not leak to the outside. On the other hand, since it has air permeability and moisture permeability, it does not impair the above-mentioned humidity control properties and also contributes to preventing stuffiness in stored items.
