Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable ventilation in an attic space sufficiently by interconnecting a roof corner space, surrounded by a parapet and a roof cover, to a building outer part and also to the attic space at the backside of a corrugated folding plate, thereby forming a guiding plate a ventilating opening. CONSTITUTION:A roof corner space A formed with a parapet 2 and a roof cover 5 is interconnected to a building outer part through a ventilating opening 52 and also to an attic space B through the backside of a crest part 11 of a folding plate 1, respectively. It takes in fresh air from the ventilating opening 52 to the roof coner space A, regulating a quantity of the air escaping to the crest part 12 of the folafing plate 1 by a guiding plate 50, through which a large quantity of the fresh air is taken into the attic space B beneath the folding plate 1 for ventilation. In addition, a coping bracket 9 is installed in the ventilating opening 52 along the parapet 2 from top and front, and a coping 10 is set up via this bracket 9. With this constitution, the attic space B is sufficiently ventilated, and rainwater penetration is thus preventable.

(Problem to be Solved by the Invention) However, in such a conventional roof structure of a building, the corner spaces of the roof communicate with the front side of the roof via the rain channels in the valleys of the folded plates. Even if outside air is introduced into the roof corner space from under the eaves, the introduced outside air will escape to the front side of the roof through rain channels. Another problem was that it was difficult for outside air to enter the attic space, resulting in poor ventilation in the attic space.

That is, outside air is introduced into the roof corner space A through the ventilation opening 52 formed between the upper end of the parapet 2 and the front end of the roof cover 5. The amount of outside air introduced into the roof corner space A is restricted by the guide plate 50 from escaping into the valley part 12 of the folded plate 1, and a large amount of the air is guided to the attic space B below the folded plate 1. The amount of outside air that escapes into the troughs 12 of the folded plate 1 is determined by the length of the guide plate 50, but in this embodiment, the lower end of the guide plate 50 is slightly above the bottom of the trough 12 of the folded plate 1. Since it is located at 1, some of the outside air is allowed to escape into the valleys 12 of the folded plates 1, and the remaining large amount of outside air is led to the attic space under the folded plates 1. That is, in the roof structure of the building of this embodiment, a large amount of outside air introduced into the roof corner space A is guided to the attic space B under the folded plate 1, so that the attic space B is sufficiently ventilated. Moreover, in the roof structure of the building of this embodiment, the parapet 2 is located on the extension of the outer wall 20.
Since the ventilation opening 52 is formed between the upper end of the parapet 2 and the front end of the roof cover 5, the ventilation opening 52 itself is not noticeable, and the ventilation opening 5
The structure inside the roof corner space A cannot be seen from 2. Furthermore, since the cap 10 is provided to cover the ventilation port 52 from above and from the front, the cap 10 becomes an obstacle and can prevent rainwater from entering through the ventilation port 52.
