れる屋根面換気ユニット4は、野地板の開口縁部に固着
される開口枠5と、開口枠5の外周に套嵌される第一水
切り材6と、開口枠5の断面上部に上から嵌合される換
気枠7と、開口枠5の水上側のみに配設される第二水切
り材8と、換気枠7の枠内開口を上から覆う蓋部材9と
を備えている。開口枠5は断面矩形の木材よりなり、野
地板1に設けた開口10縁部上面に直接釘11で止着さ
れていて、この開口枠5の外周側面及び上面は、野地板
1から立ち上げられた前記防水シート2で包まれてい
る。第一水切り材6は、水切り部12と立板部13とか
ら断面L型に屈曲してなる板金部材を枠状に組み立てた
もので、立板部13が防水シート2で包まれた開口枠5
の外周面に接するようにして開口枠5の上から嵌め込ま
れ、野地板1上に固定されている。換気枠7は、断面ハ
ット型に屈曲形成された板金部材を枠状に組み立てたも
ので、枠内方向に突出する内側取付板部14を内周側の
断面下端に一体に備え、かつ、枠外方向に突出する外側
取付板部15を外周側の断面下端に一体に備えている。
換気枠7の外周側の断面上端には、換気枠の枠外方向に
突出する止水部16が延設され、換気枠7の上面には、
断面コ字状の樋部材17が上向き開口状に固着されてい
る。なお、換気枠7の枠内側は、断面ほぼL字状の補強
材18で被覆されている。また、換気枠7には、前記蓋
部材9を当該換気枠7から離間して保持する複数の支持
金具19が一定間隔おきに固定されている。なお、本実
施例では、換気枠7の一辺に対して支持金具19を二つ
ずつ取り付けている。この支持金具18は、短冊状の鋼
板をコ字状に屈曲形成してなり、支持板部20と内外一
対の取付脚部21,22とを備え、内側の取付脚部21
を換気枠7の枠内面に接着することで、支持板部20が
換気枠7上面より離れかつ外側の取付脚部22が換気枠
7外周から枠外側へ離れるように、当該換気枠7に取り
付けられている。外側の取付脚部22の下端部には、枠
外側に開口するコ字状に折曲された折曲部23が設けら
れ、この折曲部23の下片は換気枠7の外側取付板部1
5にねじ止めされている。また、折曲部23の上部に
は、断面L字状のアングル材24がビスによって止め付
けられており、このアングル材24で支持金具18間を
接続することで、換気枠7外周部の剛性向上を図ってい
るとともに、後述する換気通路31へ雨水が跳ね上がる
のを防止している。蓋部材9は、換気枠7の枠内開口を
上から覆う上板26と、この上板26から下方に延びる
防水フランジ27とを一体に有し、上板26の裏面には
制振材を介して防露材28が貼り着けられている。蓋部

26の裏面を前記支持金具19の支持板部20に上載
し、かつ防水フランジ27を前記支持金具19の外側取
付脚部22にねじ29止めすることにより、蓋部材9を
換気枠7に対して固定している。従って、当該屋根面換
気ユニット4では、蓋部材9の上板26と防水フランジ
27とで構成されるコーナ部30と換気枠7との間で、
建物の屋内外を常時換気するための換気通路31が換気
枠7の外周形状に沿って形成されている。また、本実施
例では、換気枠7が枠外方向に突出する止水部16を有
し、当該換気通路31がこの止水部16によって上下に
分割されているので、換気通路31の下部開口から吹き
込まれた風雨は一旦枠外側に戻されることになり、これ
により、雨水の侵入を有効に防止している。なお、本実
施例では、換気通路31内において止水部16の下方に
防虫ネット32を介装しており、この部分に防虫ネット
32を配置することによっても雨水の侵入を防止するこ
ととしている。第二水切り材8は、開口枠5及び換気枠
7の幅よりも長い長尺の金属板体で、取付板33の幅方
向一端から堰止め板34を一体に立設してなり、この第
二水切り材8と前記した第一水切り材6との間に換気通
路31の下部が配設される。すなわち、第二水切り材8
は、その堰止め板34を蓋部材9の防水フランジ27と
支持金具19との間に挟み込むようにして換気枠7の水
上側に配設され、このさい、第二水切り材8の堰止め板
34は換気枠7の左右両側方へ突出するようになってい
る。従って、強雨時に屋根の水上側から多量の雨水が流
下しても、その雨水は第二水切り材8によって換気枠7
の左右両側方に振り分けられ、換気枠7の外方の屋根瓦
3上を流下する。一方、第二水切り材8の裏側を回って
入り込んできた雨水や結露等で生じた少量の水分は、第
一水切り材6上を流下して下方に排水されることにな
る。図3〜図8は、上記屋根面換気ユニット4の施工手
順を示している。すなわち、図3に示すように、先ず開
口枠5を野地板1に釘11止めした後、図4に示すよう
に、その開口枠5を防水シート2で被覆するようにす

下側まで葺いた時に第一水切り材6を開口枠5に嵌合
