流路の上流端に還元液タンク内の還元液を供給す
る供給流路と、上記気液接触流路の下流端に接続
され上記還元液と還元されたガス状の水銀を含む
排ガスとを分離する気液分離器と、この気液分離
器からのガス状の水銀を含む排ガスを測定器に導
くガス流路と、上記気液分離器からの還元液を上
記還元液タンクに帰還させる帰還流路とを備えた
水銀化合物の還元装置において、 上記還元液タンク中の還元液を外気から遮断し
て還元液が酸化するのを防止する酸化防止手段を
上記還元液タンクに設け、上記還元液中の酸素を
吸着する酸素吸着剤が充填された酸素除去部を上
記帰還流路に設け、上記還元液中の水銀を吸着す
る水銀吸着剤が充填された水銀除去部を上記帰還
流路または供給流路の少なくとも一方に設けたこ
