従来のウツド型ゴルフクラブヘツドでは、ゴル
フボールが打撃されるフエース面に、ABS樹脂、
カーボン繊維強化ポリエステル樹脂又はエポキシ
樹脂、あるいは金属等が使用され、ヘツド全体が
ウレタン系のクリヤーペイントで塗布されてい
た。その後2ピースボールの出現により、そのボ
ールによく適合するフエース面の素材が研究さ
れ、好ましい材料としてアイオノマー樹脂が提案

ド全体を、下塗りとしてポリアミド樹脂とビスフ
エノールAからなる色数4以下のエポキシ系クリ
ヤーペイントを塗布し、上塗りとして破断時伸び
が30%以上、10%伸張時の強度が100Kg/cm2以上、
250Kg/cm2以下であるウレタン系クリヤーペイン
トをヘツド全体に塗布することにより、クラブを
使用することによつて生ずるヘツドの外観低下を

して用いるのが好ましい。又適宜紫外線吸収剤を

程度のものが用いられてきた。そのためポリアミ
ンの等量反応が進まず、酸化され易い低分子量不
可物が生成し、着色の原因となつていた。本発明
では90重量%以上のダイマー酸含有量を有し、か
つモノマー含有量1.5重量%以下となるよう精製
したダイマー酸を原料とするポリアミド樹脂を硬
化剤として用いる。特に色数4以下のもの(従来

ウツドクラブNo.1用ヘツド1に凹設された凹窪
部4に、サーリン1706とサーリン1605とを50/50
でブレンドし、射出成型により作成したインサー
ト3を埋込み、ビス等で固着し平滑連続状のフエ
ース面2とする。このようにして得られたウツド
No.1用のヘツドに、表−1に示すクリヤーペイン

一部乃至全体が、アイオノマー含有樹脂層で形成
されるクラブヘツドにおいて、少なくともフエー
ス面を、ポリアミド樹脂とビスフエノールAの組
み合わせからなる色数4以下のエポキシ系クリヤ
ーペイントで下塗りし、破断時伸びが30%以上、
10%伸張時の強度が100Kg/cm2以上、250Kg/cm2以
下であるウレタン系クリヤーペイントで上塗りし
