Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease the malfunctions with noises of electric parts mounted on a printed circuit board by providing a noise shielding body between the printed circuit board and a liquid crystal display panel. CONSTITUTION:This device has the printed circuit board 2 which has lead pattern groups and is mounted with various kinds of the electric parts and the liquid crystal display panel 1 which is connected with electrode terminal groups to the lead pattern groups via rubber connectors 3. The conductive noise shielding body 5 is provided between the printed circuit board 2 and the liquid crystal display panel 1. The noise shielding body 5 is grounded via the printed circuit board 2. The noise shielding body 5 is formed by laminating the front and rear surfaces of metallic foil 10, such as, for example, aluminum foil, with insulating resins 11. The noises generated from the liquid crystal display panel 1 are grounded through the noise shielding body 5 of the conductor and the malfunctions of the electric parts mounted on the printed circuit board 2 are decreased.

2. Description of the Related Art As is well known, a liquid crystal display panel has an upper glass substrate and a lower glass substrate on which transparent electrode terminal groups are formed, with the electrode terminal groups inside, and a desired cell is placed between these electrode terminals. They are bonded together through a gap, and liquid crystal, which is a dielectric, is sealed in the cell gap, so when an alternating current signal, which is a driving signal, is applied to the electrode terminals, it acts as a kind of capacitor, causing the electrode terminals to become alternating current. Every time a signal is applied, noise corresponding to the rise and fall of the AC signal is generated.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] However, in the past, no consideration was given to the effects of noise generated from the liquid crystal display panel on the various electrical components mounted on the printed wiring board. No means for effectively shielding noise is provided between the circuit board and the printed wiring board. If the liquid crystal display panel and the printed wiring board can be separated by a sufficient distance, the negative effects of noise will not be much of a problem, but in recent years, making liquid crystal display devices thinner has become one of the most important technical issues. In recent years, liquid crystal display panels and various electrical components mounted on printed wiring boards have tended to be placed closer together, making it easier for noise generated from the liquid crystal display panel to adversely affect these electrical components. It has become. Therefore,
In such a thin liquid crystal display device, an effective means for shielding components mounted on a printed wiring board from noise generated from the liquid crystal display panel is required.
