[Operation] According to the structure of the present invention, when the self-propelled cart is traveling, the pallet is stably supported by the frictional force because its lower surface is placed on the support surface and is in surface contact with the support surface. No side slipping or falling off will occur. By lowering the relay member, the self-propelled cart can run in front of the pallet station group without causing the wheel of the pallet to collide with the relay member or the like.

When delivering a pallet on a self-propelled cart to a pallet station, the self-propelled cart is first stopped in front of the target empty pallet station. Next, the relay member is raised and brought into contact with the wheel from below, and the pallet is lifted via the wheel. The upward movement of the relay member is stopped when its upper surface becomes flush with the support surface.

[0011] In this state, the moving device is operated to apply a pulling force to the pallet. As a result, the pallet has a wheel body on one side that rolls from the relay member to the wheel support part, and a wheel body on the other side that rolls from the relay member to the support surface, the relay member, and the wheel support part. Then, it will be pulled into the pallet station.

[0012] In order to load pallets onto an empty self-propelled cart, the self-propelled cart is stopped in front of the target actual pallet station, and then the pallets in the pallet station are loaded by the moving device in the reverse operation to the above. This can be done by applying pushing force.

A processing device 70 for receiving the pallet 40 and processing the workpiece of the jig 38 is provided. Next, the operation of the above embodiment will be explained. The self-propelled trolley 20 placed on the traveling rail 1 via each wheel 22 is driven along a fixed route 8 by activating the travel drive device 24 in response to a travel instruction and forcing the pinion 27 to rotate. That is, since the pinion 27 is engaged with the rack 11, the rotation of the pinion 27 is converted into reliable running force, and since it is guided to the guide rail 10 via the guide roller 30,
The self-propelled trolley 20 travels on a fixed route 8 at a predetermined speed.

In the above embodiment, the self-propelled trolley 20 is supported by two running rails 1, but it may also be supported and guided by a monorail, or a traveling drive device using a motor may be used. 24 has been shown, but this may also be a linear type. Furthermore, although a format in which the jig 38 is supported as the pallet 40 has been shown, it may also be in a format in which, for example, parts for automobiles are directly supported.

[0034] In the above embodiment, the fixed route 8 in the shape of an endless ellipse is shown, but this may be a linear route with an end in which the self-propelled cart 20 travels back and forth, or the route with an end may be set as one-way. A working path may be formed above it and a processing device may be provided. Furthermore, although the pallet stations 45 are arranged on both sides of the constant path 8, they may be arranged only on one side. The positioning pin 36 may be raised and lowered by a cylinder device, or the positioning pin 36 may be omitted.

Effects of the Invention According to the configuration of the present invention described above, it is only necessary to provide a small number of wheels on the pallet and provide a relay member and a moving device at each pallet station. The entire structure can be constructed more easily and at a lower cost than the other structure. In addition, when the self-propelled cart is running, the lower surface of the pallet is placed on the support surface and is in surface contact with the support surface, so the pallet can be stably supported by the frictional force, and no side shifting or falling off will occur.
