Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide an abrasive-containing detergent composition which does not raise any problem in sewage treatment. CONSTITUTION:The abrasive contained in the title composition is composed of a biodegradable plastic which has a properly controlled granular size and is of completely degradable type. In the sewage treatment after use of the detergent, most of the abrasive with relatively large sizes can be removed in the form of a cake and its particulates slightly left behind are biodegraded completely so that it can be made harmless.

[Prior Art] In various factories such as printing factories and automobile maintenance shops, various surfactants are used as the main ingredient to remove grease, engine oil, tar, and other oils and printing ink and other paints that adhere to hands. Detergents are used. In addition, in order to remove stains that cannot be removed by surfactant effects alone,
Detergents containing abrasives (scrubbing materials) are used. This abrasive-containing detergent is known to have better cleaning properties than detergents that do not contain abrasives because the abrasive scrapes off dirt.

However, the above-mentioned inorganic abrasives are water-insoluble and remain in a particle state indefinitely in tap water, so when they flow into drain pipes, they accumulate in the pipes and clog the water pipes. , which makes wastewater treatment difficult.

As a solution to this problem, it has been considered to use a synthetic resin that is susceptible to biological attack, that is, a biodegradable plastic, for the abrasive material. As such a compound, a compound made by adding about 10% starch to polyethylene is known, and since the starch in this compound is decomposed by microorganisms and the resin is broken into small pieces, it is thought that processing can be reduced.

However, recently there has been criticism that this type of biodegradable plastic is incompletely decomposed and parts of it that are not subject to biological attack, such as polyethylene, remain undegraded and are currently subject to material testing in the United States. The association is currently conducting an evaluation test.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] As mentioned above, with conventional detergents containing biodegradable plastic as an abrasive, the decomposition of the abrasive is incomplete, and after decomposition of starch, finely divided particles remain, which can cause damage to pipes. There have been problems in that they cause clogging and migrate to sewage treatment plants, making treatment even more difficult.

If it is 0 μm or more, when used for skin cleansing, it will have a rough texture and will be difficult to decompose. A good cleaning effect can be obtained regardless of the hardness of the abrasive, but a durometer hardness of about 40 to about 60 is more preferable.

The detergent compositions obtained by these formulations A, B, C, and D are cream-like, remove stains well, have little roughness, and have good cleaning effects and cleaning sensations, and are suitable as detergents containing abrasives. It is widely available. Furthermore, if the detergent composition with the above formulation is stored in an appropriate container, it can be stored for a long period of time. After being sealed in a container, it does not deteriorate immediately unless a large amount of sterilization is added to the container.

On the other hand, each of the above detergent formulations A, B, C, D
If you dilute it 300 to 1000 times with regular sewer water and store it at room temperature for a month, the plastic filler will completely decompose. That is, when the above detergent composition is flushed into the sewer after use, plastic filler with an average particle size of 200 μm is scattered, but this filler floats and does not settle because its specific gravity is less than 1.0. So it won't clog your drain pipes. Therefore, most of the filler in this example can be removed in the form of a cake, and the fine particles that cannot be removed are completely decomposed in a few days to a week depending on their particle size and become non-polluting.

[0026] Thus, in this example, in the sewage,
We selected biodegradable plastic so that it will completely biodegrade within a week to one month for particles with a particle size of 200 μm, and in a shorter period of time for particles with a smaller size. While preventing pollution due to biodegradation, it is possible to completely decompose only the rare leftover components and make them non-polluting.
