Abstract

PURPOSE:To shorten time required for the edition of a ladder program by automatically displaying relay comment necessary for the edition of the ladder program without individually specifying the relay number of each relay comment to be displayed. CONSTITUTION:This sequence program forming device for a programmable controller which has a ladder program editing area and a relay comment editing area is provided with a ladder program display means 2, a means for specifying a coil instruction by the ladder program editing area, a means for retrieving plural relay numbers relating to the excitation/deexcitation of a coil based upon a specified coil instruction from a ladder program file 6, a means for retrieving the number of the coil instruction and relay comments corresponding to the plural retrieved relay numbers from a relay comment file 8, and a means for displaying the plural retrieved relay comments on the relay comment editing area.

A sequence program creation device for a programmable controller having a ladder program editing area and a relay comment editing area, comprising: a ladder program display means, a means for specifying a coil command in the ladder program editing area, and a sequence program generating apparatus for a programmable controller having a ladder program editing area and a relay comment editing area; A means for searching a ladder program file for multiple relay numbers related to energization/deenergization of the coil, and a relay comment file that searches for relay comments corresponding to the coil instruction number and the searched multiple relay numbers. 1.
