[Prior Art] Conventionally, for example, steel pipe shafts and steel pipes used for seawalls, marine structures, etc. are subject to severe corrosion, especially in tidal zones and splash zones that are constantly exposed to seawater (water) and air. As seen in Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 56-9703, after repairing the corroded part, an anti-corrosive coating such as petrolatum tape is wrapped, and an anti-corrosive coating is applied to improve the adhesion of the anti-corrosive coating and protect it from external impact. The outside of the material is protected with a protective cover made of synthetic resin or metal, and if necessary, a cushioning material made of foamed resin is provided inside the protective cover.

[Problems to be solved by the invention] However, as shown in Fig. 5, conventionally, this protective cover is made by butting together two cover bodies 1 of uniform thickness each having a shape in which a cylinder is vertically divided into two parts for ease of installation. When the flange portions 2 are integrally formed on each end edge facing outward and the opposing flange portions 2 of both cover bodies 1 are tightened and fixed with bolts 3 and nuts 4, the inner surface of the cover body 1 and the outer circumferential surface of the steel pipe are It is difficult to achieve complete contact from the beginning, and when the bolts are tightened, the flange portion 2 opens in a V-shape, and the vicinity of the flange portion 2 of the cover body 1 tends to deform. A gap 5 is created between the inner surface and the outer surface of the corrosion protection 6 on the outer periphery of the steel pipe 7, and the function as a protective cover is prevented such that seawater etc. may intrude through the gap or the base end of the flange portion 2 may damage the corrosion protection 6. There were some shortcomings that prevented it from fulfilling its full potential.

Therefore, as in Japanese Patent Publication No. 60-53140, it has been proposed to wrap a single protective cover around the steel pipe and eliminate the flange, but this makes the shape and structure of the protective cover complicated. Moreover, since various parts are used to attach the cover, there is a problem that the installation is troublesome and costs are high.

[Means for Solving the Problem] The present invention provides flange portions 2 outside the divided ends of the cover body 1 which is vertically divided into two parts, and by bolting the flanges together, the outer circumferential surface is fixed. In an anti-corrosion coating protection cover for metal pipes such as steel pipes, which covers the outer periphery of a metal pipe on which an anti-corrosion coating has been applied and protects the anti-corrosion coating, the thickness of the cover main body 1 is gradually increased as it approaches the flange portion 2. This cover protects a corrosion-resistant coating for metal pipes such as steel pipes, and is characterized by having a compressible cushioning material provided inside the cover main body.

In other words, in the present invention, the cover body is divided into two parts and is bolted to each other at their flanges as in the past, but instead of making the wall thickness of the cover body uniform as in the past, the abdominal part of the cover body is The thickness gradually increases from the center part to the flange, which prevents deformation of the cover body due to tightening of the flange, stabilizes tightening with bolts and nuts, and allows the inside of the cover body to be thickened gradually as it approaches the flange. A compressible cushioning material is provided to further improve adhesion to the anti-corrosion coating, thereby preventing infiltration of seawater and the like, as well as preventing damage to the anti-corrosion coating.

[Embodiment and operation] Fig. 1 shows an embodiment of the present invention described above, and this example is for protecting a steel pipe coated with an anticorrosive coating. In the figure, reference numeral 1 denotes two symmetrical cover bodies made of synthetic resin such as FRP or corrosion-resistant metal. The thickness of the base portion 1b is gradually increased toward the base portion 1b.
Then, the thickness should be several times that of the abdomen 1a. In addition, the flange portion 2 is made to have the same thickness as the thickest part at both ends of the main body 1 to prevent it from being easily bent and deformed. , 4, the opposing flanges 2 are brought into close contact with each other as shown in FIG. 2, thereby stabilizing the tightening by bolts and nuts.

Then, a foamed resin material is attached as a compressible cushioning material to provide a cushioning effect against external impact inside the cover main body 1. In this case, as shown in FIG. 3, the thickness of the foamed resin material 8 serving as a cushioning material is made thicker as it approaches the flange portion 2, similar to the cover body 1, or the thickness is made uniform as shown in FIG. If the foaming ratio of the material 8 is made smaller as it approaches the flange portion 2 so that it becomes gradually harder, the adhesion of the corrosion-proofing material 6 to the steel pipe 7 can be further improved by tightening the flange portion 2 of the cover body 1. This results in good results, and damage to the anti-corrosion coating can also be prevented.
In this example, the steel pipe covered with the anti-corrosion coating material is the object of protection, but other metal pipes covered with the anti-corrosion coating material are also the object of protection, and foamed resin is used as the cushioning material. , other compressible cushioning materials may also be used. Further, the cushioning material may have the same thickness as the conventional one.

[Effects of the invention] As described above, the protective cover of the invention uses the flange joining method of two split cover bodies, which is easy to process as in the conventional case, but the wall thickness of both cover bodies is gradually increased toward the flange part. As a result, the flexibility increases as you get closer to the abdomen of the cover body, so even if the flanges are tightly bolted together, there will be no bending and deformation in the vicinity of the flanges and creating a gap as in the past. Therefore, it has extremely good adhesion to metal pipes such as steel pipes, and bolt/nut tightening work can be performed easily and stably.

Moreover, since a cushioning material is provided inside the cover body, it is possible to prevent damage to the anti-corrosion coating material when tightening bolts and nuts or when an external impact is applied.
