In recent years, the need for painting work in seawater has increased for the purpose of preserving and rust-preventing existing steel marine structures and steel revetments at coastal reclaimed sites, and the area to be painted has also increased. There is. In addition, the performance required for underwater paints has become increasingly sophisticated, and the use of high viscosity thick film paints, multi-component mixed polymer paints, and formulations of rust preventives and antifouling agents has made it possible to
The properties of paints are becoming more diverse, and the conventional methods of painting by brushing and troweling are extremely inefficient, and are not suitable for ensuring stable paint performance, so improvements are needed. is desired.

That is, in the present invention, the upper ladder side 1-a is thick and the lower ladder side 1-a is thick.
It has a trapezoidal trapezoidal shape with -b being thin, and is equipped with a cap 2 on the upper ladder side 1-a that is fitted with an air gun or a nozzle at the end of a paint pressure hose, and a main hole 3 communicating with the cap 2 inside the main body. A paint supply section 1 is formed by drilling several paint passages 5 branching from this and distributing the paint from the main hole 3 to the tip of the lower ladder side 1-b. In addition to being covered from the upper and lower surfaces, the lower ladder side 1- of the paint passage 5
An upper spatula 8 and a lower spatula 9 made of a flexible material whose tips are press-polymerized are bonded to the upper and lower surfaces of the paint supply portion 1 so as not to form an opening within a certain length from the tip of b. This is an applicator for a paint machine, which is characterized by having several paint passages 5 in the paint supply part 1.
In addition, the upper spatula 8 and the lower spatula 9 are made of flexible material and protrude over a certain length from the tip of the bottom ladder side of the paint passage. The tips of the upper and lower spatulas 8 and 9 are pressed to increase the paint supply pressure in the overlapping part to a predetermined pressure, and the overlapping part is pushed open to form a uniform paint discharge port, thereby achieving uniform coating. It forms a film stably. and especially paint supply (application)
Features include suppressing wasteful outflow of paint at the start, reducing paint consumption, and since the paint application part is made of flexible material, it blends well with the painted surface, allowing for smooth and stable painting. It also has the following.

In Fig. 1, reference numeral 1 denotes a paint supply part made of synthetic resin or metal material, which is formed into a trapezoidal shape with a thick wall on the upper ladder side 1-a and a thin wall on the lower ladder side 1-b. A cap 2 is attached to 1-a for connection to an air gun 14, which will be described later.
A main hole 3 serving as a paint passage is bored toward the lower ladder side 1-b, and is opened approximately at the center of the paint supply portion 1, and the paint supply portion 1 at the open end of the main hole 3 is opened. In order to distribute the paint to the tip of the lower ladder side 1-b, there is a stable-shaped paint passage 5 formed in the form of one horizontal groove 4 parallel to the lower ladder side 1-b and several vertical grooves perpendicular to this groove. and are drilled. Reference numerals 6 and 7 are screw holes for fixing an upper spatula 8 and a lower spatula 9, which are paint application parts described below.

The upper spatula 8 and the lower spatula 9 have trapezoidal trapezoidal shapes similar to the paint supply portion 1, cover approximately the paint supply portion 1 from the upper and lower surfaces, and protrude from the tip of the paint supply portion 1 by a certain length in an overlapping state ( However, the upper spatula 8 is longer than the lower spatula 9 and protrudes further from the overlapping tip), and has through holes 10 and 1 for fastening, respectively.
1 is drilled in the paint supply portion 1, and is fixed to the screw hole 6 using the set screw 12 and to the screw hole 7 using the set screw 13, respectively, and assembled as shown in Figs. 2 and 3. . In FIG. 3, reference numeral 14 is a commercially available air gun, in which a cartridge containing paint 14a is inserted into a cylinder 14b, and a lever 14c is inserted into the cylinder 14b.
With this operation, the slot valve in the air gun 14 is opened, and the paint 14a in the cartridge is pumped by the air blowing action from the pressure air pipe 14d, and is discharged through the paint applicator according to the present invention to perform painting.

Next, confirm that the pressure and polymerization state at the tips of the lower ladder side 1-b of the paint supply portion 1 of the upper spatula 8 and the lower spatula 9 is normal, and after positioning it at the coating start position, move the lever 14c of the air gun 14. Subtract
This opens the slot valve and opens the compressed air pipe 14.
The paint 14 inside the cartridge is removed by air blowing from inside d.
A is supplied to the paint supply section 1 of the paint applicator of the present invention through the cap 2.

The discharge port at the tip of the lower ladder side 1-b, that is, the tip of the paint passage 5, is open, but it is formed by the tips of the upper spatula 8 and the lower spatula 9 made of flexible material, and does not have an opening. Since the paint 14a is once covered by this polymerized part, it is possible to prevent the paint 14a from being suddenly discharged at the same time as the paint is supplied. It can be suppressed. Then, the paint supply pressure rises to a predetermined pressure and pushes open the overlapping part to form (open) a paint discharge port that uniformly discharges the paint, and from there the paint starts to be discharged with a uniform thickness and is supplied. Painting is carried out by sliding the overlapping part of the upper spatula 8 and lower spatula 9 onto the coating surface of the paint applicator of the present invention through the air gun 14 while maintaining the pressure.

The coating film thickness is adjusted as appropriate by changing the amount of paint supplied, the moving speed of the paint applicator, the pressing force, etc. When the paint in the cartridge runs out during painting work, air will come out from the tip of the spatula, so immediately release the lever 14c, remove the cap 2, and replace the cartridge paint 14a with a new one.
Repeat the painting process in the same manner as above.

In the above embodiment, a method using the air gun 14 has been described, but in other embodiments, it is also possible to use a pressure-feeding tank method by attaching it to the tip of the nozzle when the paint is directly discharged from the tank from the nozzle. However, it is within the scope of implementation of this invention.
