Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a tire excellent in appearance and durability by forming the embossed mark of a side wall part using a side wall strip wherein different color rubber is embedded in rubber for a side wall. CONSTITUTION:The side wall part 3 of a pneumatic tire is formed from a side wall strip 11 consisting of black rubber 9 for a side wall and different color rubber 10 having a color other than black. That is, the side wall strip 11 is formed by embedding the different color rubber 10 for forming an embossed mark 7 displaying a character mark, for example, a trade mark, a firm name or a product number in the base part 12 composed of the rubber 9 for the side wall. し異色ゴムを露出させることにより該異色ゴムからなる
前記浮出しマークを形成することを特徴とした空気入り
タイヤの製造方法である。

候性を向上しうる。又サイドウォールストリップ11は
、押出し成形により前記異色ゴム10を直接埋め込んで
形成されるか、あるいは図2に一点鎖線で示す異色ゴム
10外面のサイドウォール用ゴム9Aを後付けすること
により該異色ゴム10を埋設してもよい。なお異色ゴム
10には、通常白色が用いられるが白以外の色でもよい

りタイヤの製造方法であって、サイドウォール用ゴムか
らなりかつビード部近傍からトレッド部端近傍に至る巾
の基部の内部に浮出しマーク形成用の異色ゴムを埋め込
んだサイドウォールストリップを形成するとともに、該
サイドウォールストリップの貼着により形成したサイド
ウォール部を有する生カバータイヤを、浮出しマーク形
成用の凹部を内面に有する加硫金型内で加硫することに
よって、前記凹部により形成された隆起部がサイドウォ
ール部表面に設けられた加硫タイヤを成形してのち、前
記隆起部の表面をバフ掛けし異色ゴムを露出させること
により該異色ゴムからなる前記浮出しマークを形成する
ことを特徴とした空気入りタイヤの製造方法。
