[Detailed description of the invention] [Field of industrial application] This invention improves the molding cycle for cushioning materials made of in-mold bead molded products such as foamed polystyrene and foamed polyolefin, and is used to reduce the area weight and adjust the pressure receiving area. A foamed synthetic resin packaging cushion that uses the air in the recess for lightening provided as a pressure-receiving element as a cushioning material, making it possible to reduce the area weight of side walls etc. to a state close to the theoretical value. Regarding materials.

Conventionally, in-mold bead-molded products for cushioning materials such as foamed polystyrene and foamed polyolefin have been molded with cushioning material a in appropriate places, especially on the pressure-receiving surface b, as shown in Figure 3, in order to improve the molding cycle, reduce the basis weight, and adjust the pressure-receiving area. A recess c for thinning is formed.

However, the packaging cushioning material a that has this concave portion c
is attached to the side edge of the packaged object d and stored in a cardboard box e, etc. as shown in FIG. Since the air in the recessed space formed by C and the inner surface of the cardboard box E is compressed and a compressed air portion exists, this portion acts as a support member together with the pressure receiving surface B, and the packaging cushioning material A as a whole The impact value exceeds the theoretical value, causing damage to the packaged object d. The present invention eliminates the fact that the compressed air generated in the conventional thinning recess c causes an increase in the pressure-receiving surface, but rather reduces the presence of compressive stress due to the compression of the air in the recess c. By using it as a pressure-receiving support material for material a and coexisting with other pressure-receiving surfaces, it is possible to retain the impact value required by the packaging cushioning material, while also reducing the area weight by cutting out the material to a limit value, and forming the molding cycle. There was also an improvement in

In order to achieve the above object of the present invention, the present invention is formed on the pressure-receiving surface side of a packaging cushioning material made of foamed synthetic resin,
For a recess that is open to the pressure receiving surface surrounded by the side wall and the top wall, the opening surface of the recess is closed transversely to create a sealed space that cannot be ventilated when receiving an impact, and the recess is placed on the pressure receiving surface at the lower end of the side wall. It is an object of the present invention to provide a cushioning material for packaging made of foamed synthetic resin, which is formed by adhering or attaching a sheet having no greater air permeability than the opening surface.

As described above, the foamed synthetic resin packaging cushioning material according to the present invention is made by adhering or attaching a sheet to the pressure-receiving surface of the cushioning material with the hollow recesses closed, so that it can withstand shocks such as dropping impacts. When a load is applied to the packaging cushioning material, the air in the recesses is compressed and becomes a pressure receiving support means, so the packaging cushioning material can be designed to include pressure receiving means using the compressed air as a pressure receiving surface element. , it is possible to proactively create recesses and cutouts to reduce the pressure receiving surface of the packaging cushioning material, that is, to reduce the basis weight, and it is also possible to improve the molding cycle.

The details of the present invention will be explained based on further illustrated embodiments. FIG. 1 is an explanatory cross-sectional view of a foamed synthetic resin packaging cushioning material according to the present invention, and numeral 1 in the figure is the packaging cushioning material. In addition, 2 in the figure is the pressure receiving surface 3.
A recessed portion for removing meat formed by opening on the side,
There are side walls 4 and a ceiling wall 5 around it.
The opening surface of the recess 2 is laterally closed with a sheet 6 having no air permeability in order to create a closed space that cannot be ventilated when an impact is received. First, in FIG. 1, the recess 2 is formed on the pressure receiving surface 3 at the lower end of the side wall 4.
The sheet 6, which is larger than the opening surface, is adhered with double-sided tape, an adhesive, an adhesive, or the like.
2 shows that a sheet 6 larger than the opening surface of the recess 2 is positioned and attached to the inner surface of the cardboard box 7, and the packaging cushioning material 1 is attached to the side edge of the object to be packaged 8. By inserting it as shown by the arrow in the example, the lower surface of the side wall 4 of the packaging cushioning material 1, that is, the pressure receiving surface 3, is attached to the sheet 6, making the recess 2 a sealed space. Therefore, when the packaging cushioning material 1 shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. Since it can function as a support means, if this is considered as a pressure-receiving support means when designing the present packaging cushioning material 1, the area of the pressure-receiving surface 3 of the packaging cushioning material 1 can be further reduced. That is, the space of the recess 2 can be further enlarged, the thickness of the side wall 4 can be made thinner, etc. Note that when the sheet 6 is adhered to the pressure-receiving surface 3 with double-sided tape, adhesive, or adhesive as shown in FIG. 1, when a load is applied to the packaging cushioning material 1, the side wall 4 will be This also prevents damage caused by expansion or buckling. In addition, as the foamed synthetic resin packaging cushioning material 1,
For example, when using an in-mold bead molded product made of foamed polyolefin, particularly foamed polyethylene, foamed polypropylene, etc., a sealed space can be firmly created by adhering or attaching the sheet 6 according to the present invention. Further, it is considered that the cushioning material 1 and the sheet 6 are made of the same kind of material, for example, the cushioning material 1 is made of polyethylene foam, and the sheet 6 is made of a polyethylene sheet.

As described above, the foamed synthetic resin packaging cushioning material according to the present invention has a recess formed on the pressure receiving surface side of the foamed synthetic resin packaging cushioning material, which is surrounded by the side wall and the top wall and is open to the pressure receiving surface side. On the other hand, in order to create a sealed space that cannot be ventilated when receiving a shock, the opening surface of the recess is closed crosswise, and a sheet having no air permeability greater than the opening surface of the recess is glued or attached to the pressure receiving surface at the lower end of the side wall. Therefore, the sealed space inside the recess becomes a pressure-receiving support means, and the surrounding pressure-receiving surface can be reduced, that is, the area weight can be reduced, which leads to cost reduction and an improvement in the molding cycle. . In addition, since the inside of the recess becomes a closed space that cannot be ventilated, excess air enters the inside, resulting in an increase in the pressure-receiving surface, and the load and impact applied to the cushioning material may exceed the theoretical value on the packaged item. It has no impact on the impact value.
