[Detailed description of the invention] [Industrial application field] The present invention can be applied to, for example, expandable polystyrene beads,
In a packaging cushioning material molded by the in-mold bead molding method using a foaming material such as foamable polyolefin beads, the internal pressure of the hollowing recess provided on the pressure-receiving surface of the material may cause internal pressure to increase when an impact force is applied. It is possible to avoid problems such as the air being compressed and becoming higher than theoretically, resulting in an impact force higher than the theoretical value being applied to the packaged item, or damage to the side wall around the recess for thinning. This invention relates to a cushioning material for packaging made of foamed synthetic resin.

BACKGROUND ART Conventionally, foamed synthetic resin packaging cushioning materials have been molded using, for example, an in-mold bead molding method using foamed materials such as foamed polystyrene beads and foamed polyolefin beads. In addition, this packaging cushioning material shortens the molding cycle, reduces the basis weight,
Further, for the purpose of adjusting the pressure receiving area, etc., a hollow recess as shown in FIG. 4 is formed on the pressure receiving surface side. That is, in the figure, a is the cushioning material, b is the recess for lightening,
c is its side wall, and d is the object to be packaged. Moreover, e is a cardboard box in which the packaged items d are packaged with the packaging cushioning material a and then stored therein.

However, using this kind of packaging cushioning material,
When the cardboard box containing the packaged item is dropped while the packaged item is being packaged, stored in a cardboard box, etc., and transported, the impact force is applied to the packaging cushioning material. That is, when dropped from above in the state shown in FIG. 4, the lower surface of the packaging cushioning material acts as a pressure receiving surface and an impact force is applied to the packaged item through the cardboard box. When this impact force is applied, the internal pressure of the hollowing recess increases as air is sealed and compressed between it and the inner surface of the cardboard box. Therefore, due to the compressive stress, the packaging cushioning material has a higher impact value than it should have, and as a result, the packaged item is subjected to an impact force higher than the theoretical value, or There is a problem that the side wall around the punching recess may be damaged.

In view of these conventional problems, the foamed synthetic resin packaging cushioning material of the present invention was devised.
The purpose is to have a buffering function that is in accordance with the theoretical value, and to avoid damage due to compressive stress when an impact force is applied to the side wall around the hollowing recess.

In order to achieve this purpose, in the present invention, a recess for storing the packaged object is provided on the side opposite to the pressure-receiving surface, leaving a wall on the outside of the packaged object, and a recess is formed on the side opposite to the pressure-receiving surface. For packaging made of foamed synthetic resin, in which a recess for hollowing out is formed by surrounding the surrounding area and the ceiling with walls, and a ventilation section is provided on the side wall around the recess for hollowing out, which communicates this recess for hollowing out with the outside. It constituted a buffer material.

In such a foamed synthetic resin packaging cushioning material, since a ventilation section is provided on the side wall around the hollowing recess provided on the pressure receiving surface side to communicate the inside of the hollowing out recess and the outside. The compressed air generated when an impact force is applied escapes through the ventilation section, which has a theoretical impact value as a cushioning material for packaging, and the problem is that the side wall around the recess for lightening is damaged. can also be avoided.

The details of the foamed synthetic resin packaging cushioning material according to the present invention will be further explained based on the attached drawings. This packaging cushioning material 1 is usually a molded product formed by an in-mold bead molding method using a foaming material such as expandable polystyrene beads or expandable polyolefin beads, or an in-mold molding method using an expandable polyurethane. is used. On the side opposite to the pressure-receiving surface 2 of the packaging cushioning material 1, a recess 4 for accommodating the packaged object 3 is formed with a wall remaining at a portion corresponding to the outside of the packaged object 3. . In addition, on the pressure receiving surface 2 side of this, there is a wall to surround the surrounding area and the ceiling part for the purpose of shortening the molding cycle when molding, reducing the area weight, and adjusting the pressure receiving area. A recessed portion 5 is provided. However, if such a recess for lightening shown as 5 in the figure is simply provided, there are problems with the prior art as shown in FIG. 4. For this reason, by providing a vent 6 to release the compressed air generated when an impact force is applied to the outside from this recess 5, the internal pressure of the recess 5 when an impact force is applied is reduced. This prevents the rise of 1 and 2, the ventilation portion 6 is connected to the pressure-receiving surface 2 of the side wall 7 around the recess 5 for lightening.
An embodiment is shown in which a groove 8 having an opening width is formed transversely on the side. Providing a plurality of grooves 8 for one lightening recess 5 may be considered as appropriate. Furthermore, when the packaged item 3 is packaged using such a packaging cushioning material 1 and stored in a cardboard box 9, the surface of the packaging cushioning material 1 is in close contact with the inside of the cardboard box 9, as shown in FIG. In areas where there is a risk of difficulty in ventilation, install a ventilation section 6 from the end of the groove 8 opposite to the hollowing recess 5 to the side opposite to the pressure receiving surface 2 of the side wall 10 on the side of the housing recess 4. An open extension groove 11 having the same opening width is further formed and provided. The ventilation portion 6 may be provided by forming a groove 8 having an opening width and an extended groove 11, or may be provided by forming a through hole.

Therefore, when the packing material 1 made of foamed synthetic resin is used to package the packaged object 3 and is transported after being stored in the cardboard box 9, it is difficult to prevent it from falling or colliding with other objects. Even if the internal pressure of the hollowing recess 5 rises to the outside as the air is sealed and compressed with the inner surface of the cardboard box 9 when an impact force is applied, this compressed air is It can escape through the ventilation part 6, and it is possible to avoid the problem of being loaded with an impact force higher than the theoretical value on the packaged object 3, or damaging the side wall 7 around the recess 5 for thinning. In addition, since the storage recess 4 and the thinning recess 5 of the packaged object 3 are completely independent, the compressed air generated in the thinning recess 5 comes into direct contact with the packaged object 3, and the There is no problem of harmful effects such as damage to the package.

In the foamed synthetic resin packaging cushioning material according to the present invention as described above, the compressed air in the recess for lightening that is generated when an impact force is applied can escape to the outside through the ventilation part. It is possible to avoid problems such as an impact force higher than a theoretical value being applied to the packaged item due to air, or damage to the side wall around the recess for thinning. In addition, since the recess for storing the packaged object and the recess for removing lightening are completely independent, there is no problem of strength deterioration, and there is no problem of compressed air generated in the recess for removing weight having an adverse effect on the packaged object. There is none.
