Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a complicated and undefined surface pattern by flattening a granulated material comprising an inorg. source material, laminating the flat granules or flat granules coated with a pigment on a raw surface of pottery product, press-molding and firing the deposited material, and then polishing the surface. CONSTITUTION:A granulated material comprising an inorg. source material is flattened, which is deposited on a raw surface of pottery product (1), or the flat granulated material coated with a pigment (4) is deposited (1). Then the laminated body is press-molded, fired and polished on its surface. The water content of the flattened granulated material is specified to about 5-10%. The pressure for molding is preferably about 200-400kg/cm<2>.

[Means for Solving the Problems] The present invention provides a glaze composition,
Alternatively, granules made of raw materials to which various inorganic materials have been added are flattened, and the flattened granulated raw materials or those coated with pigments are laminated on the base of ceramic products, and this is processed. It is characterized in that the surface is polished after being pressed and fired.

[0006] If the moisture content of the flattened granulated raw material is low, the adhesion with the base material is poor, and if it is high, the formed pattern tends to flow, and the base material tends to adhere to the mold, making it difficult to remove from the mold, resulting in production problems. Sexuality decreases. Therefore, the moisture content of the flat granules during lamination is preferably 5 to 10%, preferably 7 to 8%.

If the pressure applied to this laminate is too low, the flat grains will not be easily crushed, and the adhesion to the substrate and filling rate will not be sufficient, resulting in a foamed state after firing. Furthermore, if the temperature is too high, the granules will be deformed due to moisture movement and the pattern will tend to flow. The applied pressure is 200~400kg/cm2
It is good to be. Firing temperature is usually 1200~
1300°C is good. Further, any length of the flattened granules can be used, but for tiles, a length of 5 to 20 mm is convenient from the standpoint of molding and the pattern formed.

[Effect] By polishing the surface of the fired flat granulated inorganic raw material laminated in a complex layer, the boundaries between the flat grains exhibit different gloss and translucency compared to other parts. This creates a unique pattern that is not found in conventional ceramic products, with a complex mix of large and small outlines. In addition, when the granulation raw material is coated with pigment, after surface polishing,
The outline of the pattern that appears can be made clearer. By adjusting the particle size distribution and pigment composition of the flat granules, the color distribution, outline width, size, etc. of the pattern that appears can be controlled as desired.

[Example] 30 parts by weight of feldspar, 30 parts by weight of chinastone, 40 parts by weight of clay
Parts by weight of the inorganic raw material were wet-pulverized in a ball mill and granulated. At this time, a coloring material may be kneaded to form colored granules. For example, when coloring white, the white pigment base material (Fe2 O3
0.2% or less). The granules were formed into a cake using a filter press and dried to a moisture content of 10 to 15%. After drying, it was granulated using an Eirich mixer to a size of about 2 to 10 mm, and the granulated product was rolled with a roller to obtain flat granules with a length of 5 to 20 mm. After this, reduce the moisture content to 7
It was adjusted to ~8%. Next, the flat grains were coated with pigment. This flat granulated material was laminated on top of the tile material. In this case, the base material for the tile material is granulated in advance to a diameter of 0.3 to 1.0 mm using a spray dryer. Figure 1 shows an overview of the equipment used for lamination. In the figure, reference numeral 1 indicates a 300 mm square tile material placed on a lower mold 3 in a formwork 2. The flat granules prepared as described above were laminated on this tile material 1 to a thickness of approximately 5 mm. The upper mold 5 was pressed onto the laminate 4 at a pressure of 300 kg/cm 2 to form the mold. This molded body was fired at 1300° C. for 1 hour in a roller hearth kiln. The surface of this fired product was polished to a thickness of approximately 0.5 mm using a polishing machine.
