【考案の詳細な説明】
〔産業上の利用分野〕
本考案は自動車ボデーのドア開口やウインドウ
開口に沿つて装着されるウエザストリツプに関す

第３図に示すクオータウインドウ１を例をとれ
ば、第４図に示すようにウインドウ開口にはフラ
ンジ２が開口面に平行に突出形成され、これにウ
エザストリツプ４が装着される。ウエザストリツ
プ４は断面Ｕ字形でウエザストリツプ長手方向に
互に分断された多数の芯材片よりなる保形用芯材
４３が埋設され、内部対向面からはフランジ保持
リツプ４１０が突出する。トリム部４１と、その
一方の側壁、即ち車外側の側壁４１ａから突出す
る中空状のシール部４２を備えている。そしてト
リム部４１内のリツプ４１０でトリム部４１内に
挿入されたフランジ２を挟持することによりウイ
ンドウ開口に装着され、シール部４２がクオータ
ウインドウガラス３と接触することによりシール
作用をなす。なお、５はボデーパネル貼着したガ
ーニツシュである。

１１が形成してある。トリム部４１にはトリム部
長手方向に分断された多数の芯材片よりなる保形
用芯材４３が埋設してある。シール部４２、ボデ
ーシールリツプ４１１およびフランジ保持リツプ
４１０の一部はスポンジゴムよりなり、他の部分
はソリツドゴムよりなる。

ーナ部においてはトリム部開口側を外径として屈
曲させて取付けられ、シール部が自動車ボデーの
開口を開閉する相手部材に接触するウエザストリ
ツプにおいて、トリム部の他方の側壁の端部には
該側壁の外面側へ膨出して該側壁の他の部分より
も厚肉とした厚肉部を形成したことを特徴とする
