Abstract

PURPOSE: To remove a defect of a surface grinding machine which is generated from a fact that a rotary shaft of a workpiece and a rotary shaft of a grinding wheel are not completely parallel. CONSTITUTION: In the improvement in a machine tool for processing the surface of a workpiece 3 by using a grinding wheel, the machine is capable of freely moving in the radial shape with respect to the workpiece 3 for irregularity of shapes of a grinding wheel 2 and the workpiece 3 and has a grinding wheel head 1 mounted on the upper side of a guide plate 8. A cylinder 9 continuously presses the grinding wheel head 1 toward the workpiece 3.
