Abstract

PURPOSE:To lessen an unnecessary area for arranging a pogo pin on a circuit board at every stage by bisectedly arranging inner cores in a duplex tube structure to an outer wall. CONSTITUTION:A main inner core 3, for obtaining electrical connection with a circuit board 1, is fitted to a tubular outer wall 7 with a spring 5. A sub-inner- core 4, for obtaining electrical connection with a circuit board 2, has a duplex tube structure with coaxially inserted in the main inner core 3, and is fitted to the outer wall 7 with a spring 6 and a spring stopper 8 provided in the inside of the outer wall 7. Consequently a signal supplied to the outer wall 7 is transmitted to the main inner core 3 and the circuit board 1 via the spring 5, and concurrently is transmitted to the sub-inner-core 4 and the circuit board 2 via the spring 6. This can eliminate the need for arranging a pogo pin at every stage to lessen the area.

The conventional pogo pin described above electrically connects the cylindrical outer wall and the inner core with a spring in order to transmit one system of signals, and the signal is transmitted from the outer wall to the inner core and from the inner core to the outer wall via the spring. The structure was designed to convey the following.

If there are two or more stages of circuit boards to be electrically connected, place a pogo pin on the lowest stage circuit board, receive it with the electrode surface of the next stage board, then set the pogo pin on that circuit board, Furthermore, there was a drawback that pogo pins had to be placed at each stage in order to move on to the next stage.

The present invention differs from the conventional pogo pin described above in that the inner core is divided into two parts with respect to the outer wall so as to have a double tube structure with the same axis, and signals can be simultaneously transmitted to the stacked circuit boards.

The pogo pin of the present invention includes a main inner core that contacts an electrode on a first circuit board, and a second core that contacts an electrode on a second circuit board stacked on the first circuit board and fits into the main inner core. It has a sub-inner core having a double-pipe structure, and a cylindrical body having a spring therein for independently moving each of the inner cores and pressing the electrodes.

A main inner core 3 for electrical connection with the circuit board 1 is attached to a cylindrical outer wall 7 by a spring 5. The auxiliary inner core 4 for obtaining electrical connection with the circuit board 2 has a double tube structure coaxially fitted into the main inner core 3, and is connected to the outer wall by a spring 6 and a spring stopper 8 provided inside the outer wall 7. It is attached to 7.

Thereby, the signal supplied to the outer wall 7 is transmitted through the spring 5 to the main inner core 3 and then to the circuit board 1. At the same time, it is transmitted through the spring 6 to the sub-inner core 4 and then to the circuit board 2. The main inner core 3 is prevented from falling off from the outer wall 7 by a spring stopper 8 and the sub inner core by a pin stopper 9. Moreover, at this time, it goes without saying that the circuit board 2 is provided with an electrode that comes into contact with the sub-inner core 4.

The outer wall is divided into a main outer wall 11 and a side outer wall 12 by the outer wall insulator 10.
The main inner core 13 and the sub inner core 14 are electrically isolated from each other by an inner wall insulator 15 coated on the main inner core 13 . As a result, there is an advantage that two different signals can be transmitted by one pogo pin.

As explained above, in the present invention, by arranging the inner core in two parts with respect to the outer wall in a double tube structure, when the circuit boards are stacked in two stages and signals are supplied to the boards in each stage, Electrical connection can be obtained with each circuit board using one pogo pin, which has the effect of reducing unnecessary area for arranging pogo pins on each stage of circuit boards.
