Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an antistatic band to be worn on a human body easily and to prevent the generation of an electrostatic trouble beforehand by installing a case housing a built-in LED and/or a built-in buzzer to a band made of a fiber material including a conductive fiber. CONSTITUTION:When this charging preventive band 1 is approached to a charged body, the static electricity is neutralized and removed by the function of a corona discharge of a conductive fiber mixed in the band 1. In this case, a part of the static electricity lights an LED 3 built-in to a case 2, and/or sounds a built-in buzzer 4, and it is consumed to report that an abnormal static electricity is generated. As a result, when a worker wears this band around his wrist for use, the generation of harmful static electricity can firmly be caught and reported on in the assembly work of electronic parts and the like, and furthermore, the static electricity is removed efficiently to prevent an interference of the static electricity beforehand.

If a person's body is charged with static electricity, not only will clothing or dirt cling to the body, but touching a metal part may result in shock. Furthermore, in the assembly work of electronic components, electrostatic discharge may deteriorate the performance of the electronic components or destroy them. To this end, conventionally, expensive testers and the like have been used to check the status of static electricity generation on work tables and the like.

When this band is brought close to a charged object, harmful static electricity is neutralized and removed by the action of the conductive fibers mixed in the band (corona discharge). At this time, a part of the static electricity is consumed to light an LED and/or sound a buzzer to notify that abnormal static electricity has occurred, thereby promoting the static elimination effect.

FIG. 1 is a perspective view of an embodiment of the present invention. In the figure, reference numeral 1 denotes a band having fixing means such as velvet fasteners at both ends, and is long enough to be wrapped around the wrist. The band 1 is manufactured using a fiber material mixed with conductive fibers such as acrylonitrile-copper sulfide composite fibers. Its fiber properties are

A replaceable lithium battery 5 and a circuit for driving the LED 3 and piezoelectric buzzer 4 are incorporated inside. FIG. 2 shows an example of the circuit, which consists of a constant voltage supply section A, a timer circuit B, an LED and buzzer drive circuit C, and a buzzer oscillation circuit D. The constant voltage supply section A has an output terminal 6 that supplies a fixed constant voltage and an output terminal 7 that supplies a variable constant voltage. The constant voltage appearing at the output terminal 6 is supplied to one input terminal of the operational amplifier 9, and the constant voltage appearing at the output terminal 7 is supplied to the other input terminal of the operational amplifier 9 via a resistor 8 having a high resistance of, for example, about 1M ohm. supplied to A sensor 1a made of conductive fiber or the like is connected to a connection point between the resistor 8 and the input terminal of the operational amplifier 9 via a diode 10. The output of the operational amplifier 9 is supplied to a CR timer circuit B including a capacitor 11.

The operation of this circuit is as follows. When the sensor 1a approaches the charged object, the potential at the connection point between the diode 10 and the resistor 8 increases. Along with this, a timer circuit B is provided on the output side of the operational amplifier 9, so even if the sensor 1 is far away from the charged object, the timer circuit B
holds the output. The output of the timer circuit B turns on the transistor 12, lights up the LED 3, and supplies voltage to the buzzer circuit D, causing the buzzer 4 to sound.

The band according to the present invention is mainly worn on the wrist of a worker when processing, assembling, etc. electronic circuit components. When the band 1 approaches a charged object when worn, the action of the conductive fibers and the corona generator mixed in the band 1 induces a charge opposite to that of the charged object, and the surrounding air is ionized. It is thought that the polar ions then move, neutralizing the charge on the charged body, thereby removing static electricity.
