Abstract

PURPOSE:To allow the production of the disk having a uniformly joined layer in a short period of time by providing a heating mechanism for most adequately maintaining the viscosity of an adhesive and changing pressurizing force. CONSTITUTION:A heater 15 is built in an upper disk holder 14 of a device for sticking an upper disk 11 and a lower disk 12 via a thermosetting type adhesive 13. Two sheets of the disks are stuck to each other by a cylinder 16 for compression bonding. The heater 15 changes the temp. of the adhesive 13 so as to put the viscosity of the adhesive 13 into the most adequate state to maintain the specified state. The cylinder 16 for compression bonding changes the pressurizing force stepwise so as to early and uniformly crush the adhesive 13. The disk having the joined layer which is uniform and is free from deformation is obtd. in this way and the time required for curing of the adhesive is drastically shortened.

Conventionally, methods of bonding information recording disks using ultraviolet curing or thermosetting resin adhesives have been known (Figure 4).These methods ensure that the bonding layer is uniform and airtight. There is also a need to provide a disk with excellent bonding strength and less deformation.

Therefore, in order to obtain a uniform bonding layer, a thickness regulating member was used on the outer periphery of the disk during bonding (Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 59-4
0340), a well-known method is to cure the materials at room temperature over a long period of time in a constant temperature bath to prevent deformation after bonding (FIG. 5).

However, in such a conventional method, productivity is low because hardening takes time, and furthermore, the thickness regulating member has a set point that causes a problem in the feeding of the disk.

FIG. 2 is an example of a heating program for the heater 15 to maintain the viscosity of the adhesive 13 at an optimum level. As the adhesive 13 hardens, the temperature is accelerated, maintained, and lowered to maintain the viscosity of the adhesive at an optimal state. Keep it.

FIG. 3 shows an example of a pressure program for the cylinder 16 to quickly and uniformly crush the adhesive 13. In order to prevent the load applied per unit area from decreasing as the adhesive 13 collapses and the area increases, The applied load is increased as time passes. This makes it possible to shorten the adhesive pressure bonding time. Furthermore, since the load applied initially is small, the bonding deviation is reduced. Furthermore, since the diffusion rate of the adhesive 13 is constant, air bubbles are less likely to enter.
