Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve efficiency in dust collection and to increase a dust holding capacity by forming a resin layer on the face of a grounded plate and allowing the dust to stick to the grounded plate by the adhesive power as well as by the static electricity of the resin surface. CONSTITUTION:The dust 9 is flowed in from the upstream side of this electric dust collector, first added with a positive electric charge at an ionizing part 4, entered dust collecting part 5, attracted to the grounded plate 6 by means of an electric field generated in the collecting part, and sticks to a resin film 8. Also, the dust 10, which is not added with the positive electric charge for such reason as not passing through the ionizing part 4, is collided with the resin film 8 on account of the turbulence of air current by Brownian motion, etc., and sticks to the film. The dust 11 which once sticked to the resin film 8 is adhesive to the resin, and therefore is not separable from the resin film 8 by some wind power or vibration. Consequently, the dust collector is effective to improve the efficiency in dust collection and to increase the dust holding capacity.

Conventional devices, as described in Japanese Utility Model Application Publication No. 1-163451 and No. 1-163452, form an insulating film on the anode plate or a conductive film on the ground electrode plate to remove dust. Even if it gets stuck, the dust can be easily removed during cleaning.

With the above conventional technology, dust does not easily adhere to the anode plate and the ground electrode plate, so there are problems with the collected dust being re-dispersed due to wind pressure, the capacity for holding the collected dust is small, and the cleaning cycle is shortened. In addition, in the conventional electrode shown in Fig. 2, since the resin film 8 is a screen, the dust 11 that has adhered to the ground electrode plate 6 cannot be blown away from the ground electrode plate due to wind force or vibration. There was a problem in that the air flowed into the air outlet of the air purifier.

In order to achieve the above object, a resin layer is formed on the surface of the ground electrode plate, so that dust adheres to the ground electrode plate not only by static tliM force but also by the adhesive force of the resin surface. Furthermore, the retention capacity is improved by not releasing the dust that has once adhered, so that the period for removing the adhered dust can be extended.

The positively charged dust flows to the dust collecting section, and is attracted to and adheres to the ground electrode by the force of the electric field generated between the positive charges there and the ground electrode. - Once attached, dust cannot be easily released by forces such as wind pressure or vibration due to the adhesive force of the resin film on the surface of the ground electrode and the aforementioned electrostatic force.

In addition, dust that has not been given a sufficient positive charge at the charged section will arrive at the ground electrode plate due to airflow turbulence or Brownian motion, and will adhere to the ground electrode plate by an inch due to the adhesive force of the resin film.
As in the previous case, it will not be easy to release it.

FIG. 3 shows an embodiment of a method for regenerating the dust-collected electrostatic precipitator 2. In FIG. The dust-collected electric precipitator 21 is placed in the solvent tank 22, and the resin film 8 is melted and separated from the ground electrode plate together with the dust. Next, the dust-collected electric precipitator 21 is placed in the washing tank 23 to remove the remaining resin film and dust. After drying thoroughly, the whole is immersed in a lacquer bath 24 and then taken out to volatilize the solvent. In this way, the regenerated electrostatic precipitator 25 is created.
The figure shows another embodiment of the method for regenerating the dust-collected electrostatic precipitator 21. Remove the ground electrode plate 6 from the dust-collected electrostatic precipitator 21 as shown in Figure (a), and peel off the resin film 8 and attached dust 11 from the ground electrode plate 6 together as shown in Figure (b). .

Next, as shown in FIG. 5(a), a lacquer 31 is sprayed and the solvent is evaporated to form a resin film 8. Instead of spraying lacquer, a double-sided adhesive tape 32 may be attached to the ground electrode plate 6 as shown in FIG. 5(b). The regenerated ground electrode plate 6 is attached to an electrostatic precipitator to regenerate the electrostatic precipitator. This has the effect that attached dust can be easily and completely removed.
