Abstract

PURPOSE:To generate a lateral propulsive force by operating an elevating means in a recessed part opened to the lower part of a ship bottom, and driving a propulsion means in a state that the propulsion means and a cover plate are protruded from the recessed part. CONSTITUTION:A recessed part 2 opened downward from a recessed part wall 19 being the extension part of a ship bottom plate 12 is formed below a cabin 16, and a cover plate 20 to cover the recessed part 2 therewith is mounted. The cover plate 20 and a propulsion means 6 are rotatably intercoupled through a support shaft 7. During ordinary running, the propulsion means 6 is contained in the recessed part 2. When a lateral motive force is exerted on a bow part during sailing alongside a pier, an elevating means 5 is actuated to rotate the propulsion means 6 around a support shaft 7, and a propeller 4 is protruded downward from a ship bottom. When a body 60 is rotated, the cover body 20 is also rotated integrally. Through drive of a drive motor 61, the propeller 4 is rotated to generate a lateral propulsive force on the bow part of a ship hull 1.

In the above configuration, when docking, etc., the elevating means in the recess is operated to rotate the propulsion means and the cover plate about the horizontal axis in a horizontal direction, thereby driving the propulsion means in a state where they protrude outside the recess. By doing so, it is possible to generate a lateral propulsive force, and by storing the propulsion means in the recess by the elevating means during normal running, it is possible to close the recess with the lid plate and prevent an increase in propulsion resistance.

In the above configuration, during normal running, the propulsion means 6 and the like are housed in the recess 2 as shown by solid lines in FIGS.
2 to form a smooth bottom surface. In addition, when it is desired to generate a lateral propulsive force in the bow section, such as when berthing, the elevating means 5 is operated to move the propulsion means 6 to the support shaft 7.
The propeller 4 is rotated clockwise in FIGS. 1 and 2 to project the propeller 4 below the bottom of the ship as shown by the imaginary line. When the main body 60 is rotated, the cover plate 20 connected to the main body 60 by the connecting member 63 also rotates together. Then, the drive motor 61 is driven to rotate the propeller 4, and the hull 1 is rotated.

By having the structure in which the propulsion means 6 and the cover plate 20 are rotatably held by the horizontally oriented support shaft 7, the propulsion means can be installed without having to extend greatly upwards inside the hull. The upper part can be effectively used as a cabin, and it is also possible to generate large lateral propulsive force using a large-diameter propeller. It is also equipped with a lid plate that forms part of the hull outer plate. Because of this, large propulsion resistance does not occur during normal driving.

In the above embodiment, only the case where the thruster is provided in the bow part and used as a bow thruster has been described, but the thruster may be arranged in the stern part and used as a stance thruster. Furthermore, this device is not limited to use when docking, but can also be used in combination with a direction sensor to create a system that allows the boat to stand up against the wind to facilitate fishing activities.

Further, as described above, when forming the bottom plate 12, the recess wall 19
If they are integrally molded, it has the advantage that it is easy to manufacture, has excellent strength, and there is no risk of leakage at the connection between the two. Furthermore, in the above embodiment, all parts such as the propeller 4 are attached to the support bracket 3, but in this way, this part can be assembled outside the ship and then attached to the recess wall 19, making the attachment work easier. There is an advantage in that.

As explained above, the present invention forms a downwardly opening recess in the bottom of the ship, arranges therein a propulsion means that generates a propulsive force laterally, and rotates the propulsion means about a horizontal horizontal axis. Make it protrude outside the recess,
Furthermore, this recess is provided with a cover plate that protrudes together with the propulsion means, and by rotating and protruding the propulsion means and the cover plate using the lifting means, it is possible to generate sideways propulsive force when docking, etc. During travel, the concave portion can be closed with a cover plate to prevent propulsion resistance from increasing.
