Prior Art In general vehicles, an acceleration mechanism based on the operation of the accelerator pedal and a deceleration mechanism based on the operation of the brake pedal are formed separately, and each has an independent operating state. There is usually one. In other words, when the accelerator pedal is pressed during acceleration, the accelerator wire connected to the accelerator pedal operates to open the throttle valve on the engine side, while when the brake pedal is pressed during deceleration, the brake pedal Pressure oil is generated from a master cylinder connected to the brake cylinder, which operates the wheel cylinder installed on the wheel side, which presses the brake drum against the shoe to obtain braking force.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention However, in ordinary vehicles equipped with such conventional acceleration and deceleration mechanisms, when the driver depresses the brake pedal during deceleration, it is possible for the driver to accidentally press the accelerator pedal at the same time. There may be cases where
As a result, there was a risk that the throttle valve would operate in the opening direction even during deceleration, causing the vehicle to accelerate. Especially in the case of a car equipped with an automatic transmission, there are only two pedals: the accelerator and the brake, so when a driver who is accustomed to driving a normal manual transmission drives a car with an automatic transmission, the The problem is that it is easy to misoperate.

Means for Solving the Problems The present invention aims to solve the problems existing in the conventional accelerator and brake systems as described above, and to provide a device that improves operational safety.
To achieve this purpose, an electromagnetic clutch is disposed between the vehicle's power source and the wheel drive system, and an electromagnetic clutch is provided between the electromagnetic clutch and the power source to sense the depression status of the accelerator pedal and the brake pedal. An accelerator pedal switch and a brake pedal switch that are connected and disconnected are connected in series, and when the driver depresses the accelerator pedal and the brake pedal at the same time, driving power is supplied from the power source to the electromagnetic clutch, and the electromagnetic clutch is "disconnected". The main objective is to obtain a device for preventing simultaneous operation of the accelerator and brake, which is characterized by controlling the drive so that the accelerator and brake are activated simultaneously.

Operation With the above configuration, when the driver accidentally depresses the accelerator and brake pedals at the same time while driving, the electromagnetic clutch is immediately disconnected by the drive power supplied from the power source. ”
As a result, the connection between the power source of the vehicle and the wheel drive system is cut off, thereby providing an effect of preventing the vehicle from operating in a manner contrary to the driver's will.

First, in FIG. 2, a pedal lever 2 of an accelerator pedal 1 and a bracket 4 protruding from the vehicle body 3 are pivotally supported, and when the accelerator pedal 1 is depressed, an accelerator wire 5 connected to the upper end of the pedal lever 2 is moved. It is pulled as shown by arrow A. Furthermore, an accelerator pedal switch 6 is provided between the vehicle body 3 and the pedal lever 2 and is fixed to the vehicle body 3 side, and is turned on and off in response to depression of the accelerator pedal 1. In this example, a normally closed contact switch is used as the accelerator pedal switch 6, and is set so that it is ON when the accelerator pedal 1 is not depressed, and is ON when the accelerator pedal 1 is depressed.

Next, in FIG. 3, the upper end of the pedal lever 8 of the brake pedal 7 is pivotally supported by the vehicle body 3 and the shaft support 9, and the rod 10 pivotally supported in the middle of the pedal lever 8 and the rod 10 is provided. Furthermore, a plate 1 with one end fixed to the vehicle body 3 side
A brake pedal switch 13 is provided at one end of the brake pedal 2 and is turned on and off in response to depression of the brake pedal 7. In this example, the brake pedal switch 13 employs a normally closed contact, and is set to be turned off when the brake pedal 7 is not depressed and turned on when the brake pedal 7 is depressed.

FIG. 1 shows a state in which a circuit means based on the accelerator pedal switch 6 and brake pedal switch 13 formed as described above is installed in a power transmission device of a vehicle. In the figure, 14 is an engine, 15 is a clutch, and Therefore, in this example, an electromagnetic clutch is used. 16 is a transmission, 17 is a transfer, 18, 19 are propeller shafts, 20, 2
1 is a differential gear, 22 is a front wheel, and 23 is a rear wheel.
That is, according to this embodiment, an electromagnetic clutch 15 is disposed between an engine 14 as a power source of the vehicle and a wheel side drive system consisting of a transmission 16, a transfer 17, etc. The accelerator pedal switch 6 and brake pedal switch 13 are connected in series between the clutch 15 and the power source E. The electromagnetic clutch 15 is configured to be turned off when driving power is supplied from the power source E.

The operation of the device of the present invention will be explained below. That is, during normal driving, the accelerator pedal switch 6 and the brake pedal switch 13 are alternately turned on and off by the driver's operation, but since both are never turned on, the power source E No driving power is applied to the electromagnetic clutch 15, so that the electromagnetic clutch 15 remains in the "connected" state.

On the other hand, assume that the driver accidentally depresses the accelerator pedal 1 at the same time as depressing the brake pedal 7 while the vehicle is decelerating. Then the first
As shown in the figure, since the accelerator pedal switch 6 and the brake pedal switch 13 are connected in series, the power from the power source E is applied to the electromagnetic clutch 15 only when both switches are turned on. As "off", the power transmission of the engine 14 is cut off. Therefore, even when decelerating,
Conversely, a situation in which the vehicle is accelerated can be avoided. It goes without saying that a sudden braking phenomenon caused by depressing the accelerator pedal 1 and the brake pedal 7 at the same time can be prevented not only when the vehicle is decelerating but also when the vehicle is accelerating.

Effects of the invention According to the device for preventing simultaneous activation of the accelerator and brake according to the invention described above, when decelerating or accelerating while the vehicle is running, the driver accidentally depresses the accelerator pedal and the brake pedal at the same time. This has the great effect of increasing safety, since the vehicle will no longer move against the driver's will, even in the case of a vehicle.
It is particularly effective when applied to vehicles such as automatic transmission vehicles, where the vehicle's driving condition is determined by two-pedal operation, but of course, even in ordinary manual transmission vehicles, the brake pedal operation is effective. It is also effective to apply this method to the latter case, since it is easy for the throttle valve to open due to the foot touching the accelerator pedal at the same time. Therefore, the present invention can prevent abnormal vehicle running due to incorrect pedal operation during deceleration or acceleration, and is highly effective in improving safety, so it provides a device that is useful when applied to various vehicles.
