As disclosed in Japanese Patent No. 50-58170, it is made by enclosing a gel-like substance in the outer case, and is configured so that the gel-like substance absorbs the impact applied to the outer case.

<Problems to be solved by the invention> In this type of cushioning member, the gel material is deformable and has good adhesion to other objects.
It is difficult to handle the gel-like substance when it is sealed inside the exterior body, and since the gel-like substance is tightly sealed inside the exterior body, the amount of deformation of the exterior body and the amount of deformation of the gel-like substance are the same. Therefore, there was a problem in that a good buffering effect could not be obtained due to the large deformation of the gel-like material.

<Means for solving the problem> In the present invention, the gel material 2, preferably the penetration
50 to 200, preferably 100 to 200, are filled into deformable hollow spheres made of a soft material such as silicone rubber or polyurethane resin. A buffer member is provided which includes a deformable exterior body 3 enclosing a buffer ball 1.

It is made with a thickness of about 0.5 mm, and the exterior body 3 of the buffer member
It can be used in place of the gel-like substance itself by being enclosed in large quantities within the substance.

<Function> The balls 1 absorb the impact force while being deformed individually within the exterior body 3, and transmit the impact force to other adjacent balls, thereby also deforming them and propagating the impact force.

Therefore, the external impact force applied to the exterior body 3 of the cushioning member of the present invention is absorbed by the deformation of the many balls 1 inside, but the deformation of the balls is caused by the gel-like filling inside the balls. Since this is done by inelastic deformation of the material, there is little occurrence of elastic repulsive force in the buffer member, and since the balls 1 are spherical, a space S is formed between them, so the amount of deformation is reduced by this space. growing.

Furthermore, in the cushioning member of the present invention, the exterior body 3 is deformed by the applied static pressure, and the internal cushioning balls 1 fill the void S, thereby increasing the density.
This increases the withstand pressure and improves the transmission of impact force due to the increased contact between the buffer balls 1.

<Example> As shown in FIG. 1, the ball 1 used in the cushioning member of the present invention is made by inserting a needle into a thin hollow sphere 1' made of a soft material such as rubber, polyethylene resin, polyurethane resin, polypropylene resin, etc. degree 50~200
The sphere 1' has a wall thickness of approximately 0.1 mm to 0.5 mm, and a diameter of approximately 1 mm to 0.5 mm.
It is made around 10mm.

This standard concerns the petroleum asphalt penetration test method, and for samples with a penetration of 350 or less, the test is carried out with a load of 100g, but in the case of gel-like substances, the test is carried out with a load of 50g. ing.

In order to fill the sphere 1' with a gel-like substance, for example, a gel-like substance made of silicone resin may be filled into the sphere using an injection needle. After injecting a silicone resin liquid into the sphere, the sphere 1' may be heated below the melting temperature of the soft material to form a gel-like substance 2 with a desired penetration level within the sphere 1'. The balls are used, for example, by being filled in the exterior body 3 of a mat, as shown in FIG.

This exterior body 3 only needs to be made of a material that can be freely deformed.
If you want to improve the resilience of the cushioning material, it is desirable to use an elastic material, but if you place emphasis on the cushioning performance, it is desirable to use a material that does not have elasticity. A material made of damping rubber or the like is preferable.

<Effects of the invention> Since the buffer member of the present invention is as described above, handling and filling of the buffer balls 1 are simple and easy, and as shown in FIG. Since the space 〓S is created between them, the weight of the entire cushioning member is reduced by the sum of the spaces 〓S, and at the same time, as mentioned above, it is possible to increase the amount of deformation of the ball 1, and thus to improve the impact mitigation effect. It gives you space to grow.

The poor restorability caused by the inelastic deformation of the gel-like substance can be compensated for by the elasticity of the sphere 1'. Restorability and pressure resistance can be improved by selecting the elasticity of the material.
