Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide an emulsion cosmetic containing an oleophilic polyglycerol condensed hydroxyfatty acid ester, causing little skin irritation, giving excellent feeling to the skin and having high stability. CONSTITUTION:The objective cosmetic contains 0.1-10wt.% of an oleophilic polyglycerol condensed hydroxyfatty acid ester of formula I [at least one R<1> is condensed ricinoleyl of formula II (r is 3-6) or condensed 12-hydroxystearic acid residue of formula III (s is 3-6) and the others are H; q is 2-10], 1-40wt.% of an amphiphatic lipid (e.g. higher fatty acid) and 20-90wt.% of water and other water-soluble solvents in total.
