Abstract

PURPOSE:To dry a plant material in the state where the color of the living state in nature is kept, by freezing the fresh plant material and drying it in vacuum. CONSTITUTION:A plant member which is taken out from a living plant is frozen, and vacuum drying is carried out in the frozen state, or gradually raising temperature to the normal temperature. The freezing method is not specially restricted, and the method of freezing in an electrical refrigerator, the direct immersion method in the liquefied gas such as liquefied nitrogen and liquefied helium, etc., are adopted. Drying is carried out by setting the frozen plant member in a vacuum container and exhausting the gas in the vacuum container. Accordingly, as for a compression molded body which is formed by setting the inserted frozen plant member in a metal mold having a desired shape and carrying out the compression molding by a high pressure in the metal mold, a dried article which is obtained by the method according to this invention is used as the plant member which is positioned at least on the surface of the compression molded body, the distinct color of the living plant member is obtained, and the attractive molding on the surface of which leaf veining appears can be obtained.

Natural materials such as shells, leather, and tortoise shells have been used as raw materials for buttons. However, these natural materials are not suitable for general purpose products because their raw materials are very expensive. Therefore, as general-purpose products, products made of synthetic resin materials molded into desired shapes are currently mainstream because they can be obtained relatively inexpensively.

However, since synthetic resin materials do not naturally decompose due to corrosion, they remain in their original state even if they are buried in a landfill. Therefore, it must be incinerated, but incineration causes air pollution by emitting toxic gases. Moreover, it is difficult to create deep patterns and colors that can be achieved with natural materials. Therefore, the inventor first put plant materials obtained by drying dried grass, plant leaves, flowers, etc. in the sun or by heating them into a mold of a desired shape, and made a mold of 200 kg/cf to several. 1
We proposed a method to obtain a desired molded product by pressure molding at a high pressure of 0.00 kg/car or more. Molded products obtained using this method can express natural colors as they are, and natural patterns such as leaf veins appear on the surface, creating a deep natural pattern. Moreover, it has the natural scent of the plant itself, and since it is made only from natural products, it can be easily incinerated.
This is an epoch-making product that does not cause pollution. Also,
By using plant materials that have medicinal properties, they can be good for health and have insect repellent effects. However, when dried grass, leaves, flowers, etc. of plants are dried in the sun or by heating, pigments such as chlorophyll in the materials oxidize and change color during the drying process, resulting in the fresh green of leaves and the color of flowers. It was not possible to obtain a molded product that remained intact. In view of the above circumstances, the object of the present invention is to provide a method for drying plant materials while preserving their natural, living color, and to provide colorfully colored molded products using the plant materials. .

As mentioned above, when fresh plant material collected from a plant is frozen, water bound to plant cells through hydrogen bonds is frozen within the cells. When dried in a vacuum, the frozen water sublimes and is completely removed from the plant cells, making it possible to obtain a dried product without oxidizing pigments such as chlorophyll. The dried product obtained in this way is put into a mold so that it forms at least the surface of the molded product, and compression molded under high pressure. The product retains the beautiful color inherent to living plant materials, and retains natural features such as leaf veins. It is possible to obtain a molded article with a pattern emerging on the surface.

[Examples] The present invention will be described in detail below with reference to Examples. In the drying method according to the present invention, first, plant material collected from a living plant is frozen, and then vacuum-dried in the frozen state or while gradually returning the material to room temperature. The freezing method is not particularly limited, but examples include a method of freezing the collected plant material by placing it in an electric freezer, a method of directly immersing the plant material in liquefied gas such as liquid nitrogen or liquid helium, etc. Can be mentioned. Drying is carried out by placing the frozen plant material in a vacuum container and evacuating the gas in the vacuum container. Note that the degree of vacuum is not particularly limited, but a higher degree of vacuum is preferable since drying time can be shortened. Then, the dried product thus obtained is placed in a mold so as to be positioned at least on the surface of the molded product, and is subjected to pressure molding or pressure and heat molding to form a desired molded product. The pressure is 200 kg to 1 cr or more, so that the thickness of the dried material placed in the mold is about 1/10.
Preferably it is 300 to several 100 kg/ct. The heating temperature is not particularly limited, but is preferably about 100 to 200°C. The molded product to be molded is not particularly limited. Examples include ornaments such as buttons and dolls. (Example 1) Green leaves of ginkgo were collected, immersed in liquid nitrogen for 5 minutes, and frozen. Place the frozen ginkgo leaves in a vacuum container and
It was dried for 8 hours at a vacuum level of -2 torr. The obtained dried product retained the color of green ginkgo leaves. This dried material is stacked in multiple layers and placed in a mold.
Heat and pressure mold at 120°C and 300 kg/cnl',
Got the button. This button had the veins of a ginkgo leaf on its surface, and had the same color as a green ginkgo leaf. (Example 2) After spreading the dried green ginkgo leaves obtained in Example 1 on the lower mold of the mold, heat-dried dead leaves of mugwort were placed on top of it, and then dried green ginkgo leaves were placed on top of it again. Put,
These were sandwiched between the upper mold and a button was obtained in the same manner as in Example 1. Similar to Example 1, this button also had ginkgo leaf veins on its surface, had the same color as green ginkgo leaves, and had a mugwort scent. (Example 3) Buttons were obtained in the same manner as in Example 1, except that ginkgo green leaves were collected, and the green leaves were placed in a freezer at -40°C and left to stand for 24 hours to freeze. Similar to Example 1, this button also had ginkgo leaf veins appearing on the surface and had the same color as the green ginkgo leaves. (Example 4) Hydrangea petals were collected, immersed in liquid nitrogen for 5 minutes, and frozen. The frozen ginkgo leaves were placed in a vacuum container and dried at a vacuum level of 10-2 torr for 8 hours. The obtained dried product retained the purple color of the hydrangea petals. This dried product was put into a mold and heated to 1300kg at 120°C.
/cnf to obtain a button. This button was the same purple color as the petals of a hydrangea. The plant material compression molded article according to the present invention is not limited to the above embodiments. For example, in the above example, a compressed molded body was formed only from dried plant material, but it can be decomposed naturally by burying it in the soil, and does not generate toxic gas even if it is incinerated. Additives having water-repelling properties or caking properties may be added as long as they are suitable for use. Effects of the Invention As described above, in the method for drying plant materials according to the first invention, fresh plant materials collected from plants are frozen and then dried in a vacuum. It can be dried while preserving its color. As described above, the plant material compression molded article according to the second invention is a compression molded article obtained by putting the dried plant material into a mold of a desired shape and compression molding it in the mold under high pressure. Since the dried material obtained by the manufacturing method of the first invention is used as the plant material located at least on the surface, it has the same color group and brightness as the living plant material, and the interesting appearance of the veins of leaves etc. on the surface. It is possible to provide a molded product with a Moreover, since this molded body is mainly composed of plant material, when buried, it decomposes in the soil due to corrosion and the like. Furthermore, it does not emit harmful gases even when incinerated, contributing to pollution control.
