Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the title lightweight pearlite excellent in thermal insulation and soundproofness by crushing pearlstone as ore followed by impregnating the crushed stone with a pigment consisting of a water-soluble metal salt and then calcining and expansion. CONSTITUTION:Pearlstone as ore with a granular diameter of ca.0.5mm produced by crushing and sizing is sufficiently dried and impregnated with a pigment consisting of a water-soluble metal salt (e.g. an aqueous solution of metal complex for ceramic coloring). The product is then calcined at ca.900 deg.C using a rotary kiln, thus obtaining the objective colored perlite expanded to a granular size of ca.3mm.

色するのであって、内部まで着色されているから、パー
ライトは破壊されても着色された粉末になるのであって
、色むらが生じない、したがって、本発明方法で製造さ
れたパーライトは、接着剤を塗布した天井や壁面に加圧
空気を用いて吹き付け、または、接着剤とともに吹き付
けることにより、所望の色に着色された粒を付着させる
ことができるのであり、防音及び断熱の効果があり、特
に結震の防止に効果があるとともに、所望の色に着色で
きるから室内の美観を向上させることができる効果があ
る。
