[Prior Art] It is well known that when a flat workpiece such as a printed circuit board is slidably guided in a processing device, both sides of the workpiece are slidably received by a pair of workpiece guides. . When it is necessary to release the workpiece, for example, to drop it onto a workpiece receiver, the workpiece guide has conventionally been simply moved back beyond the width of the workpiece via a cylinder or the like.

Further, as disclosed in Japanese Utility Model Application Publication No. 60-151639, positioning is performed by bringing a pair of positioning devices into contact with and sandwiching the end surfaces of the workpiece,
In some cases, the pair of positioning devices were moved backward to widen the gap and release the workpiece.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] According to the above-mentioned first conventional example, the release operation of the workpiece may not be performed smoothly, resulting in a release error, or even if the workpiece is released normally, it may fall onto the workpiece receiver. This method had problems such as the workpieces tending to become uneven.

According to the second embodiment, the pair of positioning devices stop when they come into contact with the workpiece and receive pressure to determine the position of the workpiece. Therefore, in the case of a thin workpiece with low composition, it is difficult to bend the workpiece by being sandwiched between the positioning devices. There is a risk of As a result, positioning accuracy deteriorates, and
When the workpiece is released, a force is applied to return the workpiece from the bent state, causing the workpiece to fall out of position, making it impossible to always drop the workpiece in the correct position.

[Means for Solving the Problems] The work guide device according to the present invention is characterized by a guide body that slidably receives both sides of the work and is U-shaped with open ends facing each other. This is where the width shifting plates are provided inside each of the guide bodies. The guide body is driven by a first drive means fixedly attached to the support member.
When releasing the workpiece, it is possible to retreat to a distance larger than the width of the workpiece. On the other hand, during normal times, the width shifting plates face both side end surfaces of the workpiece with an interval sufficiently wider than the width of the workpiece, but when releasing the workpiece, the width shifting plates are fixedly attached to the supporting member. By the driving means No. 2, the width of the workpiece is brought together until the distance becomes slightly wider depending on the width of the workpiece. A workpiece drop guide is provided below the guide body, and its tip is located substantially on the same plane as the facing surface of the width shifting plate when releasing the workpiece.

[Effects of the Invention] According to the work guide device according to the present invention configured as described above, when releasing the work, the guide body is retracted to a distance larger than the width of the work by the first driving means. When the workpiece is released, the width shifting plates, which are opposed to both end surfaces of the workpiece at a distance larger than the width of the workpiece in normal times, are moved by the second driving means to a distance slightly wider than the width of the workpiece. Since the workpiece is moved to the center position, the approach of the workpiece to the workpiece guide device and the subsequent movement of the workpiece are smooth, and when the workpiece is released, the workpiece is substantially brought to the center position by the widthwise moving plate. Since the workpieces are brought together, the workpieces are kept in a horizontal position and stacked neatly on the workpiece receiver with both end surfaces aligned, and there is no risk of release errors. Therefore, the reliability of the work guide device having the work release function is increased.

When positioning the workpiece using the width shifting plate, the guide bodies are held at intervals slightly wider than the actual workpiece width, and at least one of the guide bodies is not brought into contact with the workpiece, so no force is applied to the end face of the workpiece. Therefore, there is no risk of bending the workpiece,
When released, the workpiece can be dropped smoothly. Furthermore, a workpiece falling guide is provided below the guide body, and is located at the same interval as the width plate when the workpiece is released, so that the workpiece is guided by the workpiece falling guide even when it is released from the guide body and falls. Therefore, the falling position can be more accurately determined without interfering with the smooth fall.
