Abstract

PURPOSE:To effectively washing the bathtub bottom prior to hot water feed for bathing by opening a hot water feeding opening/closing valve with a water exhaust opening/closing valve in closed state, supplying a certain amount of hot water, then opening the water exhaust valve, and discharging contaminants, etc., together with the hot water. CONSTITUTION:When a switch for supplying hot water for washing is turned on, a water exhaust opening/closing valve 31 is opened, and the remaining water in a bathtub 1 is discharged from an exhaust pipe 31. After elapse of a certain while, the exhaust opening/closing valve 31 is closed, and a trapping opening-closing valve 19 is opened. Hot water flows from a hot water feeding circuit 3 to an additional boiling circuit 2, and is passed through a heat exchanger 6 for bath and a forward pipe 2 and dropped to the bathtub 1 from a bath adapter 4. When the amount of fed hot water counted by a flow sensor 17 attains a specified value, the trapping valve 19 is closed, and the exhaust valve 31 is opened. Thus, contaminants or hairs remaining at the bathtub bottom are discharged together with the hot water from the exhaust pipe 32, and the bathtub bottom is turned clean.

When the accumulated hot water supply amount reaches a predetermined amount necessary to fill the bottom of the bathtub with hot water (S6), the drop-in opening/closing valve 19 is closed (S7). Subsequently, the drainage on-off valve 31 is opened (S8), and dirt, hair, etc. remaining at the bottom of the bathtub are discharged from the drain pipe 32 along with the hot water, and the bottom of the bathtub is cleaned. Next, when the predetermined time required to drain the hot water at the bottom of the bathtub has elapsed (S9), the drain on-off valve 31 is opened (SI

(Effects of the Invention) As is clear from the embodiments described above, the automatic bathtub cleaning device of the present invention includes a hot water supply circuit that drops hot water into the bathtub, a hot water supply on/off valve interposed in the hot water supply circuit, and a hot water supply on/off valve installed at the bottom of the bathtub. In a device equipped with a drain pipe that is connected to a drain pipe and has a drain on-off valve interposed therein, the drain on-off valve is opened and the remaining hot water is drained before hot water is supplied for bathing, and then the drain pipe is opened. In this state, the on-off valve for hot water supply is opened to supply a predetermined amount of hot water, and then the drain valve is opened to discharge dirt, etc. along with the hot water.
The bottom of the bathtub can be efficiently cleaned without having to set the hot water supply position and the water drainage position at remote positions, as in the past, and there are no restrictions on construction.
