Such conventional microwave ovens use a linear heating element such as a nichrome wire as a heat source, but in the case of such a linear heating element, the heating element itself has a considerable thickness, and Since the device must be placed on an electrically insulating support plate made of asbestos or the like, the overall thickness becomes large and a considerable amount of space is required when it is assembled into the top plate. In addition, asbestos absorbs moisture during humid periods, resulting in a decrease in insulation properties.

An upper plate 6 made of reinforced ceramics with good thermal conductivity is disposed above the planar heating element 2, and is fixed to the upper surface of the mounting base 1 by a mounting frame 7 made of aluminum or the like. A rectangular cushion material 8 made of a heat insulating material such as foamed asbestos is interposed between the upper plate 6 and the planar heating element 2. The gap between the planar heating element 2 and the upper plate 6, which occurs due to the interposition of the cushion material 8, is made as small as possible. A detection means 15 is disposed in a recess 16 formed in the center of the planar heating element 2.

When installing the microwave oven of this invention by dropping it into the opening 10 of the top plate 9, the flange portion 11 placed on the periphery of the opening 10 is extended to the mounting frame 7 as shown in FIG. Support. 12 is the mounting frame 7
This is a heat insulating material interposed between the mounting base 1 and the upper edge of the mounting base 1. 13 is a power outlet, and 14 is a control box including temperature adjustment and switches.

Since heat is radiated from the planar heating element 2 not only in the vertical direction but also toward the surroundings, the area is made as small as possible corresponding to the necessary heating area to prevent wasted heat due to heat radiation to the surroundings. Since the upper plate 6 made of reinforced ceramics and having good thermal conductivity is disposed above the planar heating element 2, the emitted heat can be efficiently received.
Further, since the cushion material 8 is made of a frame-shaped heat insulating material, the heated portion of the upper plate 6 can be limited to only the portion surrounded by the frame shape.

The deflection of the upper plate 6 when an object to be heated such as a pot is placed on the upper plate 6 is caused by the cooperation of the elastic action of the cushion spring 4 on which the planar heating element 2 is supported and the elastic action of the cushion material. Therefore, the heat can be absorbed effectively, and there is no risk that the planar heating element 2 will be deformed.

According to the electric heating range of this invention, a planar heating element is disposed within a box-shaped mounting base with an open upper surface while being elastically supported in the vertical direction, and the upper part of the planar heating element is covered. A top plate made of ceramics is attached to the top surface of the mounting base using a mounting frame, and a insulation material is placed at the bottom of the sheet heating element through a cushion material made of a frame-shaped heat insulating material between the top plate and the sheet heating element. Since the detection means is placed in the central recess of the planar heating element, the overall thickness can be made thinner, and when it is installed in the top plate of kitchen furniture, etc., there is less space for installation. It is smaller, so there is no risk of reducing the storage space below due to the incorporation of a range, and since the sheet heating element itself has high electrical insulation properties, there is no risk of the insulation properties decreasing even in humid periods. There is an effect.

In addition, by using a mounting frame and cushion material, the deflection when an object to be heated is placed on the upper plate supported by the mounting frame is controlled by the vertical elastic action of the planar heating element and the cushion material. Since it is absorbed in cooperation with the elastic action of the sheet heating element, it has no effect on the sheet heating element, and deformation and cracking of the sheet heating element can be completely prevented. Further, since the cushion material is made of a frame-shaped heat insulating material, the heated portion of the upper plate can be limited to only the portion surrounded by the frame shape, so that the upper plate can efficiently receive the emitted heat.

In addition, since the detection means is arranged in the central recess of the planar heating element, the heating state of the object to be heated can be detected.
It is possible to control the operation of the range and prevent wastage of power.
