Abstract

PURPOSE:To artificially and simply create suitable appearance and environment similar to those of natural rock reef by forming a sprayed ground layer on the surface of a frame erected on a concrete base and forming a sprayed fiber- reinforced mortar layer on the surface thereof. CONSTITUTION:A frame 2 composed of iron, reinforced concrete or a plastic is erected on a concrete base 1. A sprayed ground layer 3 is then formed on the surface of the frame 2 by using an expanded metal or welded wire net and a nonwoven fabric. Steel fiber-reinforced mortar, inorganic fiber-reinforced mortar or organic fiber-reinforced mortar is subsequently sprayed on the surface of the sprayed ground layer 3 to form a sprayed fiber-reinforced mortar layer 4. As a result, appearance and environment similar to those of natural rock reef can readily be created. Fishing from rock near the shore, playing on the shore, etc., can more safely and readily be carried out on parts exposed onto the water surface of the resultant artificial pseudo-rock reef while directly touching nature such as seawater.

In addition, in recent years, rock fishing has become explosively popular as an easy and healthy form of recreation, and artificial rock fishing spots have been set up in urban areas where fishing spots are not readily available. However, the structure of conventional artificial rock fishing areas is mainly made of iron pipes or steel frames. Examples include piers for sea fishing parks, etc. In either case, the appearance does not match the natural landscape, and in addition, fishing from a far distance from the water surface, and fishing from the shore while being in direct contact with seawater etc. The structure made it impossible to enjoy play.

In order to solve the above-mentioned technical problem, the artificial reef of the present invention has a frame made of iron, reinforced concrete, or plastic erected on a concrete base, and the surface of the frame is covered with expanded metal (staggered at regular intervals). A base layer is formed by spraying using a metal plate (metal plate made into a diamond- or tortoise-shaped mesh) or a welded wire mesh and non-woven fabric by making indentations in the shape of a metal plate, pulling it out and spreading it out, or by spraying the base layer with steel fiber reinforcement on the surface of the base layer. Fiber-reinforced mortar spraying involves spraying mortar, inorganic fiber-reinforced mortar, or organic fiber-reinforced mortar to form a layer.

The artificial reef of the present invention has a frame made of iron, reinforced concrete, or plastic erected on a concrete base, and a base layer is formed by spraying expanded metal or welded wire mesh and nonwoven fabric on the surface of the frame. The spraying can be obtained by spraying steel fiber reinforced mortar, inorganic fiber reinforced mortar or organic fiber reinforced mortar onto the surface of the base layer. Examples of the inorganic fiber reinforced mortar used at this time include glass fiber reinforced mortar, rock wool reinforced mortar, carbon fiber reinforced mortar, etc.
Examples of the organic fiber-reinforced mortar include polyethylene fiber-reinforced mortar, polypropylene fiber-reinforced mortar, aramid fiber-reinforced mortar, and the like.
