In such a bumper structure, for example, as described in Japanese Utility Model Application Publication No. 61-82861, lamp holes are formed in a part of the bumper mainly from a design point of view, and the front A lamp installation structure has been proposed in which lamp devices such as turn signal lamps and backup lamps are housed inside the bumper.

As a result, even in the event of a light collision, the bumper recedes significantly, and the internal lamp device tends to be easily damaged by secondary collision with body panels and various equipment placed behind it. In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the reinforcement 2 is formed into a hollow rod shape from a resin material, and the lamp device in the reinforcement 2 is provided with a bumper structure for a vehicle in which a lamp device 6 is attached to the reinforcement 2. At a rear position of the lamp device 6, an opening 8 smaller than the outer shape of the lamp device 6 is formed to pass through the lamp device 6 in the front-rear direction, and the opening edge 9 is formed in a flange shape.

The initial stiffness has been improved. On the other hand, the flange-like opening edge 9 formed in the reinforcement 2 can receive the lamp device 6 that retreats in the event of a collision. The reinforcement is provided with an opening smaller than the external shape of the lamp device, and the lamp device can be received by a flange-like opening edge formed in the opening. Therefore, in the event of a collision, the backward movement of the bumper is moderately suppressed, and the lamp device is stopped by the flange-shaped opening edge to prevent it from colliding with nearby body panels, thereby reducing damage. . It is particularly effective in protecting lamp devices in light collisions. Note that such hollow reinforcement 2 can be easily integrally molded by injection molding.

Parts of both sides (see FIG. 5) are opened inward as shown to provide a lamp hole 5, and a lamp device 6 is housed inside the lamp hole 5. This lamp device 6 is a turn lamp, and its housing 10 is formed of polycarbonate resin in the shape of a horizontally long case.A bulb 15 is housed inside the housing 10, and a wide joining flange for joining a lens 16 is attached to the front surface of the housing 10. Part 10
a is formed. Then, its both sides are fixed to the bumper face 4 by fastening bolts and nuts (not shown), and the rear part thereof is fixed in the vehicle width direction by fastening bolts etc. to the front end of the frame 25 arranged in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body 1. The opening 8 formed at the end of the reinforcement 2 is penetrated therethrough.

The opening 8 is formed in a concave shape with open ends so as to form closed cross sections 11 and 12 above and below, corresponding to the lamp hole 5 of No. 4, and an opening edge 9 on a flange is formed on the inner periphery thereof.

The surrounding areas are being strengthened. Thereby, the opening 8 and the opening edge 9, which have high support rigidity, can be made to correspond to the turn lamp 6 which is arranged slightly obliquely toward the edge of the reinforcement 2.

It penetrates through the opening 8 and protrudes rearward (see Figure 1).
However, the opening 8 is formed smaller than the outer shape of the wide joint flange portion 10a, and the opening edge 9 formed on the inner periphery corresponds to the joint flange portion lOa. Although a portion of the turn lamp 6 protrudes laterally outward from the opening 8 (see Figure 2), the opening edge 9 can sufficiently stop the joining flange 10a in the event of a collision. To an extent,
Most of the joining flange portion 10a corresponds to the opening edge 9.

It can be suppressed. The foam material 3 can buffer the impact acting on the turn lamp 6, and the joint flange portion 10a of the turn lamp 6 that retreats
can be received by the opening edge 9 formed in the opening 8 of the reinforcement 2. Since the opening edge 9 is made of urethane material and is softer than the housing 10 made of polycarbonate resin, the turn lamp 6 is prevented from being damaged by the opening edge 9. In this way, in a state where the turn lamp 6 is stopped by the opening edge 9, even if the reinforcement 2 moves backward, the back surface of the reinforcement 2 will not touch the nearby body panel 23 (the sixth

In the event of a collision, the turn lamp 6 can be sufficiently protected without colliding with the airbag sensor 24 and the like attached to the frame 25 in the vicinity thereof. Such a protection function also eliminates the inconvenience of inadvertently inflating the airbag, especially in the event of a minor collision.

is formed a little closer to the inside than the end of the bumper face 14, and the rear part of the turn lamp 26 is made to correspond to the opening 18 of the reinforcement 22, which is formed smaller than the outer shape of the rear part. In this case, the opening 18 is formed in a rectangular shape, and the opening edge 19 formed on the inner periphery of the opening 18 is designed to catch the rear part of the housing 20 of the turn lamp 26 that retreats in the event of a collision.

Since the lamp device is received at the edge of the opening, it is possible to suppress the lamp device from retreating and to receive the lamp device with a buffer, thereby reducing damage. In the embodiment, an example in which the present invention is applied to a front bumper has been described, but it goes without saying that the present invention can also be applied to a bumper in which a lamp device such as a backup lamp is housed in a lamp hole.
