Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the luminance of a CRT screen to half in the case an operation is not executed for a prescribed time by providing a means for detecting a data input interval from an input part. CONSTITUTION:When data is inputted from an input device 1, and an input data signal (a) is sent out to a control part 3, the control part 3 sends out a signal to a timer 4 and resets the timer 4, and also, sets the time determined in advance. In this case, in the case the next data is not inputted to the device 1 even if a prescribed time elapses, the control par0t 3 cannot reset the timer 4, therefore, the timer 4 sends out a timer interrupting signal (b) to the control part 3. As a result, the control part 3 makes a CRT luminance signal (c) to a CRT display part 2 inactive, and reduces the luminance of a CRT screen of the CRT display part 2 to half. That is, by using the timer, the luminance of the CRT screen can be reduced to half in the case the operation is not execut ed for a prescribed time.

8 In FIG. 2, first, data is input from the input device 1 and an input data signal a is sent to the control unit 3, and the control unit 3 sends a signal to the timer 4 to reset the timer 4. At the same time, set a predetermined time. At this time, if the next data is not input to the input device 1 even after a predetermined time has elapsed, the control unit 3 will not reset the timer 4, so the timer 4 will send a timer interrupt number 78 to the control unit 3. Due to this, the control unit 3 displays the CF (T display unit 2
