Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve workability in laying of roofing materials by a method wherein spaces in both the lengthwise and the breadthwise directions made after laying of the roofing materials are filled with sealing material, and the breadthwise spaces are covered with protruding parts of waterproof sheets while the lengthwise spaces are covered with waterproof caps. CONSTITUTION:Thick parts 12 are provided on the opposite sides of a rectangular, recessed ceramic roofing material 10, and a thin part 14 is formed in the longitudinal direction of the same, and hollow parts 18 are formed on both sides thereof. A waterproof sheet 16 is stuck to the surface of said roofing material and a protruding part 16-2 is provided on one of the breadthwise edges of the same. The roofing materials 10 are then placed lengthwise and breadthwise over a structure with spaces 40 kept in both the directions, and the spaces 40 are filled with sealing material 38. The thick parts 12, 12 in the longitudinal direction are covered with waterproof caps 20, while connecting parts where the breadthwise edges adjoin are covered with the protruding parts 16-2 so that the same face downward to weathering. Thereby the roofing materials 10 can be lightened, resulting in improvement of work efficiency, and reliability of flashing can be improved too.

At this time, it was necessary to overlap the planks both vertically and horizontally to protect them from the rain before securing them to the base material. Therefore, a board larger than the total area of the roof was required, and construction was also relatively troublesome. Furthermore, the heads of the bolts used for fixing were left exposed.

Compatible Roof Materials] The space formed by the 0110-2 and the rafters 24 or the fixing pieces 26 is filled with a back-up material 34 (shown by dotted lines in the drawing) mainly made of foamed resin, etc., and a sealing material is placed on top of it. Construct material 38. Then, the waterproof cap 20 is used to cover the thick part inner side 12-2 to the thick part inner side 12-3. The waterproof cap 20 is made of a waterproof material such as stainless steel or plastic, and is elastically attached to the cap 20 due to the elasticity of this material. Moreover, it is also possible to directly adhere a waterproof sheet to the roof board material 10 instead of these materials.

FIG. 4 is a sectional view of the short side. To connect the short sides of the roof panels 10, a slight gap 40 (for example, 5 to 20 mm) is provided when fixing them to the beam 22, and this gap is filled with back-up material 36 (indicated by dotted lines in the drawing). After that, a sealant 38 is applied. The protruding part 16-2 at one end of the waterproof sheet 16 at the connection part is welded at part A to the opposing roof board lO through the sealing material 38 during construction. This protruding portion 16-2 is constructed so as to face downward with respect to the water gradient, and its length is, for example, about 40 to 100 mm. The waterproof sheet 16 may be a general-purpose one. By doing so, it is possible to achieve double waterproofing using the sealing material 38 and the waterproof sheet 16-2.

As is clear from these figures, each roof sheet material 10 is fixed with bolts 30 at six locations in total, including the four corners and the middle portion in the longitudinal direction. This fixing is performed via the washer 28 as described above, and by fixing each corner of the four roof panel materials 1O, the washer 28 presses each roof panel material 10.

A bond breaker 4 is inserted so as to cover the head of this bolt 30.
4 are installed along the length direction of the roof board material 10. Then, a sealing material 38 is applied to the upper surface. If the sealing material 38 is bonded on two sides, the durability will be maintained, but if it is bonded on three sides, the durability will deteriorate. Therefore, in this embodiment, a bond breaker 44 is installed so that both ends are bonded to the roof board material 10 and the lower part (bottom) is separated so as not to come into contact.
