Abstract

PURPOSE:To form deep recession and protrusion patterns and enable them to be utilized as a surface material of wood furnitures by allowing mold faces to be heat-temperature raised to a specific temperature, and operating and then closing the molds at a low speed immediately before placing a board into contact with the molds, and then pressing it through a specific pressure. CONSTITUTION:A woody board 1 made of a long synthetic fiber of 20-40mm is heat- temperature raised in its surface temperature to 80 deg.C--150 deg.C and then interposed between an upper and lower mold 2,3, wherein the molds are operated at a low speed of 250-50mm/min immediately before the board and molds are brought into contact with each other and, after closing of the molds, the pressure of 3-8kg/cm<2> is applied thereon for pressing it for a constant period. In this way, the board is preheated by the slow down movement of the heated molds so that the fluidity of low melting point resin on the synthetic fiber surface in the board is enhanced and, by effectually utilizing the expansion of the long synthetic fiber, the forming property of the woody board can be improved considerably. Besides, the upper and lower mold 2.3 is made with sculpture-like recession and protrusion patterns 2'.3' that coincides with each other in the mold surfaces, and press heating discs 4, 4' attached on the upper and lower mold 2.3 and support jigs 5 adapted to float-maintain the woody board 1 from the surface of the lower mold 3 are equipped therewith.

The applicant of this patent has developed a new material that can replace plastic boards, which have traditionally been considered to lack the warmth and luxury of wood, as well as plywood, particle boards, fiberboards, etc. that have high rigidity (also have large dimensional changes due to moisture absorption and release). As a method, synthetic fibers made by coating synthetic resin fibers with low melting point resin are mixed with wood fibers in a proportion of 20 to 30% (by weight) on a sub-table, and a flexible adhesive is applied to this mixture, followed by hot-press forming. Developed a so-called wooden flexible board (hereinafter simply referred to as "wooden board"), and filed a patent application No. 62-24499.
A patent application was filed as No. 1 (Japanese Unexamined Patent Publication No. 64-85706). Therefore, the wooden board itself, which is the material of the present invention, is already a known technology.

The wood boards mentioned above have a stronger wooden feel and warmth than conventional plastic boards, and are more flexible than plywood or fiber, which are more rigid, so they can be used as flooring and wall materials. Although some results have been achieved, such as a marked improvement in workability, as mentioned above, wood boards that use a small amount of synthetic fibers compared to the amount of wood fibers have no internal flow, so it is difficult to shape them. However, it has been impossible to form the structure of the wooden board and a clear uneven pattern with deep grooves using conventionally known molding methods. Therefore, the reality is that its use has been limited to flooring and wall materials in the form of flat plates.

Furniture that is not only used as a flat plate, but also has a sense of luxury.
Focusing on the fact that it can be used for a wide range of purposes as a surface material for furniture, wood products, etc., and as a result of intensive and repeated experimental research, we found that the length of the synthetic fibers that make up the wood board is 20 to 40.
When supporting and hot-pressing a wooden board formed with a length of fi between upper and lower molds of a predetermined shape, the surface temperature of the mold was raised to 80°C to 150°C, and the wood board was The board is placed between both molds, and when the mold is closed, the mold is operated at a slow speed of 20 to 50 fl/anin per minute from just before the board and the mold come into contact, and after the mold is closed, the mold is operated for a certain period of time from 3 to

Also, when surface decoration was applied to the wooden board, a method was used in which decorative paper, veneer, or printing was applied to the flat wooden board using a conventional method, and then the board was shaped using the above-mentioned molding method.

[Use] The shaping method of the present invention requires a slow cooling of the heating mold because the molding method for plastic materials and other fluid materials cannot be immediately applied to wooden boards, which have a lower proportion of synthetic fibers than wood fibers. By preheating the wood board to increase the fluidity of the low melting point resin on the surface of the synthetic fibers in the board, and by effectively utilizing the elongation of the long synthetic fibers, this type of wood board can be shaped. It has a special effect of significantly improving sex.

Hereinafter, the method for forming a wooden board of the present invention will be described in more detail according to an example. In FIG. , 2 and 3 are upper and lower molds with engraved sculptural-like uneven patterns 2" and 3" that match each other on the mold surface, and a release agent applied between the cores in advance, 4

By the way, in the apparatus shown in FIG.
After heating the wooden board 1 so that
The upper mold 2 is lowered and closed, but in this case, the upper mold 2
By slowing down the descending speed at 30m/11in from just before it contacts the top surface of the wooden board 1, the wooden board that receives the surface temperature of the upper and lower molds during this time is preheated from both the front and back sides and becomes a synthetic fiber. The applied low melting point resin and flexible adhesive become softened. Therefore, if the upper and lower molds 2 and 3 are closed at this point, the board will not be cracked or broken. In this state, the pressure inside the mold is increased to 5 kg/-, and the pressure is increased to approximately 30 kg/-.
After continuing to pressurize for seconds and releasing the pressure, the upper mold 2 was raised and the product was taken out to obtain the desired shaped wooden board 1.

In addition, although the above embodiment described a molding method for shaping a wooden board with no surface decoration, it is also possible to print directly on the surface of the wooden board, or to attach decorative paper, plywood, etc. However, by using the same method as described above, a clearly curved or sculptural uneven pattern can be formed.

Therefore, in the above-mentioned forming method of the present invention, the heat-pressing conditions are not constant depending mainly on the thickness of the wood board and the forming condition (depth of unevenness), etc., but generally the board is formed to a thickness of 1 to 5 cm. When forming this type of wood board, the surface temperature of the upper and lower molds is 8.
0°C to 150°C, the slow descent speed of the mold for preheating the wood board is 20 to 50 m/@111, and the pressing force of the wood board in the closed mold is in the range of 3 to 8 kg/cd. The above-mentioned pressing time in this case is approximately 10 to 20 seconds per thickness l+n of the wooden board.

In addition, in order to preheat the wooden board evenly on both sides, the support 5, which serves as a means for lifting the board a certain distance from the lower mold surface, is not particularly limited in its structure, but may be [1] Around the press heating plate 4 on the lower die side, install several springs 6 with a weak elasticity that can support the weight of the wooden board and a double rod structure that can be raised and lowered ( (See Figure 1), or the support 5 is omitted to limit the surface temperature of the lower mold to a temperature lower than that of the upper mold, and a wooden board is placed directly on the surface of the lower mold, or The means for doing this, such as holding the wooden board between the two molds and moving both molds at the same time, is up to one's discretion.

According to the method for forming a wooden board of the present invention detailed above,
By making the synthetic fibers mixed into the wood board sufficiently long and using unique preheating and pressurizing conditions,
Previously, this type of board was only used as a flat material for wall and flooring because it can be bent and the surface can be shaped very easily and with deep uneven patterns. It gives wooden boards a three-dimensional feel, giving them not only a luxurious feel as a building material, but also a wider range of uses as a surface material for high-end furniture and furnishings.

That is, since the wooden board shaped by the method of the present invention has particularly deep grooves in its uneven pattern and sharp corners can be obtained, the non-decorated shaped material can be used, for example, for Buddhist altars, Buddhist utensils, or benders. The shaped materials are used for lacquer-finished furniture and soup utensils, and surface-decorated materials are used as surface materials for general building materials such as floors and wall materials, as well as chests of drawers, cabinets, and all kinds of wooden furniture. This is an extremely useful invention, especially in the current situation in Japan where the availability of wood is restricted.
