Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of a valve system by forming a rotary valve into its cylindrical shape in such a manner as forming it with its exhaust part and intake part formed by holes opened in bottom faces on its both sides and holes opened its side surface respectively connected to each other. CONSTITUTION:In order to obtain a rotary valve, exhaust ports 1 and intake ports 2 are respectively formed in a cylindrical valve main body by connecting respective holes, formed in both end surfaces of the cylinder to respective holes formed in the side surface of the cylinder. By giving both exhaust port 1 and intake port 2 to one valve like this, the number of valves for one cylinder can be cut down to one. In addition, it becomes possible by switching the valve by turning it that rotary motion of a crank shaft can be transferred to the valve without converting the rotary motion into reciprocating motion, thereby obtaining smooth operation of the valve.
