Generally, when constructing large roofs for factories, etc.,
The roofing materials have a folded structure and are stacked one on top of the other.
During such construction, in order to shorten the length of the roofing materials and improve the efficiency of transportation and construction work, the longitudinal ends of the roofing materials are overlapped and connected in the span direction of the roof from the ridge to the eaves. things are being done.
Therefore, it is necessary to prevent rainwater from entering through the joints where the roofing material is polymerized. On the other hand, when connecting concrete pipes or clay pipes, the end of one pipe is fitted into the end of another pipe, so in this case too, the joints are sealed to prevent water leakage. It is necessary to prevent leakage.

In order to improve the sealing performance of such joints, caulking material has conventionally been filled in the joints, but this caulking material only has a waterproof function and does not have a fireproof function. In addition, caulking material loses viscosity under high temperature conditions such as in summer and flows out from joints.
There was a problem in that the sealing properties were lost over time.

FIG. 1 shows a waterproof belt 1 according to an embodiment of the present invention.
FIG. This waterproof belt 1 is formed into a horizontally long rectangular band. The waterproof belt is made of a soft plastic such as urethane or an elastic material such as soft rubber that is foamed so that closed cells are scattered throughout. The scattering of air bubbles gives the waterproof belt flexibility as a whole, allowing it to bend along the uneven surface of the connecting member, sealing the joints well, and preventing the connecting member from expanding or contracting. Since it follows the curves well, wear is reduced and long-term use is possible. In addition, since these bubbles are independent, water and rain do not enter, allowing water and rain to escape.
It is possible to prevent rain from entering and leaking. Such a waterproof belt 1 contains powder of sodium silicate (Na 2 O 1/2SiO 2 24H 2 O) having crystallization water and borax (Na 2 BO 4 .
2H 2 O) powder is mixed into the elastic material. When this inorganic compound is heated above 120℃,
It reacts to form a foam of sodium silicate glass (Na 2 O・BO 4・SiO 2 ), which is a type of water glass, and seals the joints of the connecting members. That is, when sodium silicate and borax are heated to 120° C. or higher, their crystal waters are volatilized, and the bubbles generated during this volatilization cause the reaction product, water glass, to foam. As a result, water glass foam is generated at the joint portions of the connecting member and seals the joint portions, thereby blocking fire from the joint portions and preventing the spread of fire. In this case, since the flexible material such as urethane is only carbonized, no fire will occur from the waterproof belt.

FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the waterproof belt 1 and its use at joints of roofing materials. The roofing materials 2 and 3 have a continuous folded structure with rectangular waves, and by overlapping the front end of the roofing material 2 with the rear end of the roofing material 2, the roofing material can be moved from the eave to the ridge. They are installed in series in the span direction of the roof. The waterproof belt 1 is bent in advance to match the unevenness of the roofing material 2, and is fitted onto the upper surface of the rear end of the roofing material 2, and is inserted into the overlapping part of the roofing materials 2 and 3 to seal the overlapping part. I do. This makes it possible to prevent rainwater from leaking into the polymerized portion. In this case, the waterproof belt 1
An adhesive layer or adhesive tape may be attached to the upper and lower surfaces or one of these surfaces.

In addition, in the above explanation, the waterproof belt is interposed in the overlapping part of the roofing material, but the present invention is not limited to this.
A similar effect can be obtained by inserting it into a concrete pipe, clay pipe, iron pipe, or the joint part of the panel behind the shield.

As described above, according to the present invention, since the waterproof belt is formed of a flexible material, it is possible to prevent water and rainwater from leaking in and out, and an inorganic compound that turns water into glass when heated is mixed therein. Since the joints are sealed in the event of a fire, it also has a fire prevention function and is effective.
