Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform favorable laminating processing even to a base having fine unevenness on the surface, by a method wherein elasticity is given to an external circumferential part of a roll coming into contact with a laminated film, the base having the fine unevenness on the surface is passed through between rolls under a state where the laminated film is superposed upon the base and the laminated film is stuck to the surface of the base by pressing and heating them. CONSTITUTION:A laminated film 1 and base 6 fed between a top and bottom rollers are pressed by the top and bottom rollers 8, 9 respectively on the top and bottom of them and they are sent out through a pair of rolls for pressing under a state where the laminated film 1 is stuck to the base 6 with adhesion of an adhesive agent 4. In this instance, since the top roll 8 which received heat through a heat transfer roll warms the laminated film 1, plasticity of the laminated film 1 is improved and the surface of the laminated film 1 is pressed through the cushioning layer 8a having elasticity. The cushioning layer 8a pushes the laminated film 1 into a recessed part of the surface of the base 6 while the same is being deformed into a form conforming to unevenness of the surface of the base 6 and the laminated film 1 is stuck reliably to the front of the base 6.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] <Industrial Application Field> The present invention relates to a laminating method in which a laminating film is attached to the surface of a base material having minute irregularities on the surface, such as embossed paper or cloth paper. Conventional technology> Lamination processing, which forms a film coating, is sometimes applied to product packaging, book covers, etc. in order to provide durability and water resistance. In this conventional laminating process, the laminating layer coated with adhesive and the base material for laminating are passed between a pair of rolls in an overlapping state, and at the same time, they are heated appropriately by another heating source. This is done by heating the laminate film with a roll that increases the plasticity of the laminate film and pressing it strongly against the surface of the base material, thereby adhering the laminate film to the surface of the base material so that the laminate film adheres to the surface of the base material.

The above pair of pressing rolls is made of metal, which has good heat resistance and thermal conductivity because it transfers heat from other heat sources, and has high shape retention to prevent uneven pressing due to distortion of the roll surface. The gap between the upper and lower rolls is adjusted appropriately depending on the thickness of the base material and film to obtain the necessary pushing force to make the film adhere to the surface of the base material. .

<Problem to be solved by the invention> However, the surface of the base material for lamination processing is not necessarily smooth, and embossed paper, cloth paper, etc. have minute irregularities on the surface, so conventional lamination processing methods are difficult. Therefore, it is difficult to adhere a laminate film to the surface of a substrate having fine irregularities on the surface.

That is, when the surface coated with the adhesive 4 is attached to the uneven surface of the base material 6 as shown in FIG.
does not adhere closely to the surface of the base material, and the laminate film comes into contact only with the convex portions of the surface of the base material, resulting in the creation of voids 11 between the concave portions of the surface of the base material and the laminate film. <Means for Solving the Problems> The present invention has been proposed in view of the above, and it
A laminate in which a laminate film containing 70 to 1 to give adhesive properties is stacked on the surface of a base material and is passed between a pair of rolls to be pressed and heated to adhere the laminate film to the surface of the base material. In the processing method, at least the outer periphery of the roll in contact with the laminate film is made to have elasticity, and the laminate film is stacked on a base material with fine irregularities on the surface and then passed between the rolls and pressed and heated to form a laminate film. It is characterized in that it is attached to the surface of the base material depending on the unevenness.

A thin translucent laminate film 1 is pulled out from the original laminate film 1a, and guided so as to come into contact with the circumferential surface of an adhesive application roll 3 by guide rolls 2 placed at appropriate locations. glue? 7! The i-cloth roll 3 is arranged so that its lower part is slightly immersed in the adhesive 4 in the adhesive tank 4a.
By rotating this adhesive application roll 3 by a drive source (not shown), the original fabric 1a of the laminate film is sequentially coated.
This allows an appropriate amount of adhesive 4 to be applied to one side of the laminate film l, which is being fed at a constant speed while being pulled out. In addition, by placing a roll or a spatula close to the circumferential surface of the adhesive coating roll 3, the amount of adhesive 4 adhering to the circumferential surface of the adhesive coating roll 3 can be adjusted as appropriate, and the amount of adhesive 4 adhering to the laminate film l can be adjusted as appropriate. The amount of adhesive 4 applied is made uniform.

The laminate film l coated with the adhesive 4 by the adhesive application roll 3 passes through a dryer 5, which is a drying chamber with sufficient output and passage distance to dry the adhesive 4, and then passes through a pair of upper and lower dryers together with the base material 6. The material is guided by the aforementioned guide roll 2 so as to be supplied to the pair of pressing rolls 7 made up of rolls.

The suppressing roll pair 7 is a pair of rolls whose rotating axes are parallel to each other, and the upper roll 8 and the lower roll 9 are arranged so that their circumferential surfaces are in contact with or close to each other, and the upper and lower rolls rotate synchronously by a drive source (not shown). The laminate film l and the base material 6 supplied from one side are pressed together by upper and lower rolls 8.9, and then sent to the other side. Note that the base material 6 is cut into a desired shape and is continuously supplied between upper and lower rolls by a belt conveyor or the like.

Note that the material forming the cushion layer 8a has heat resistance.
However, silicone rubber or the like is preferred because it can be easily peeled off from the laminate film. The laminate film 1 and the base material 6 are supplied between the upper and lower rollers with the surface coated with the adhesive 4 facing the base material 6. The laminate film 1 is pressed from the lower surface of each film 6 and is sent out from the pressing roll pair 7 while being stuck to the laminate film 1 or the base material 6 by the adhesive force of the adhesive 4. At this time, the upper roll 8 or the laminate film l which has received heat from the heat transfer roll 10
By heating the laminate film 1, the plasticity of the laminate film 1 is increased, and by pressing the surface of the laminate film 1 through the elastic cushion R8a, the cushion M8a has a shape that conforms to the irregularities on the surface of the base material 6. The laminate film 1 is pushed into the recessed portion of the surface of the base material 6 while being deformed, and the laminate film 1 is reliably brought into close contact with the front surface of the base material 6.

In other words, even if there are fine irregularities on the surface of the base material 6, if the cushion layer 8a has the elasticity to contact the irregularities, the laminate film l can be brought into close contact with the surface of the base material 6, which is very good. It is possible to perform lamination processing.

In the above embodiment, the cushion layer 8a is formed only on the upper coil 8 on the side where the laminate film is pressed, but this may be changed as appropriate depending on the material and thickness of the base material to be laminated. If the base material is small thin paper, the roll 9 on the base material side should be made of metal, and if the base material is thick paper or the like, both rolls of the pressing roll pair should be made of a material with a cushion layer. It is possible to perform lamination processing.

<Effects of the Invention> As explained above, according to the present invention, the outer periphery of the roll that presses the laminate film onto the base material is made elastic, so that the outer periphery of the roll is in close contact with the irregularities of the base material. Push the laminate film into the concave part of the base material while deforming, and attach the laminate film to the base material with the laminate film in close contact with the minute irregularities on the surface of the base material. It is also possible to perform good lamination processing.
