り、有機溶剤が揮発拡散し易い問題があった。そこで、
安価かつ軽量で透明性を有する保存容器への要望が高ま
り、金製樹脂製の刷毛保存箱の研究がなされてきた。従
来の合成樹脂としては、ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン
、ポリ塩化ビニリデン、エチレン−ビニルアルコール共
重合体、ポリカーボネート、ポリエチレンテレツクレー
ト、ポリアミド等が挙げられるが、耐有機溶剤性が低か
ったり、成形性が低いため保存箱成形後の肉厚が局所的
に薄くなったり、剛性が低いため保存箱の強度が不足す
る等の問題があった。−例として、ポリプロピレン樹脂
を用いた場合は、ポリプロピレンシートの成形性が劣る
ため刷毛保存箱の厚みが局所的に薄くなりピンホール等
が発生し易い問題があった。また、シートを厚くした場
合ピンホールの発生は防止できるが、成形性が低下し、
コストも高くなるため実用的ではなかった。
