[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Field of Industrial Application] The present invention relates to a plastic paint pan, and more particularly, to a plastic paint pan that is lightweight, rigid, and has excellent workability and organic solvent resistance. It is something.

Metal plates and plastic plates are widely used for building materials, automobiles, and other applications. There are a wide variety of types, and the types of colors are no exception. Manufacturers of painted panels must apply an extremely wide variety of coatings, and the key to improving productivity is how to change paints in a short period of time.

Conventional paint pans are made of metal, and when replacing paint, the remaining paint is transferred, removed, and cleaned with an organic solvent.
The method was to install it and apply new paint. In the conventional method, the metal paint pan was heavy, making it difficult to work and requiring a lot of time. In addition, since organic solvents are used for cleaning, the organic solvents may adhere to the human body or clothes, and volatile components may worsen the working environment, which is not desirable. Furthermore, there was a demand for disposable bread, but metal breads were too expensive to put into practical use. Therefore, demand for paint pans made of gold and resin has increased.

Conventional synthetic resins include polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinylidene chloride, ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer, polycarbonate, and polyethylene terephthalate, but they have low organic solvent resistance and low moldability, so they are difficult to use after bread molding. There were problems such as the wall thickness becoming thinner locally and the bread's strength being insufficient due to its low rigidity. - For example, when polypropylene resin is used, there is a problem in that the moldability of the polypropylene sheet is poor and the thickness of the paint pan becomes locally thinner, causing pinholes and the like to easily occur. Furthermore, if the sheet is made thicker, the occurrence of pinholes can be prevented, but this is not practical because the moldability decreases and the cost increases.

The thickness of the plastic paint pan used in the present invention is determined by the size of the paint pan and the required rigidity. An opening of .05 to 0.8 is preferable, and an opening of less than 0.05 mm is not preferable because the rigidity is insufficient. On the other hand, an opening of more than 0.8 may be acceptable, but this will only result in poor workability and increase in cost. be.

The plastic paint pan of the present invention is suitably used in a coating machine having a paint pan.An example of a roller coating machine is shown below. A roller coating machine brings a roller into contact with the paint in a saucer to form a paint film, which is then temporarily transferred onto a metal plate or plastic. The plastic paint pan 1 of the present invention is mounted inside a paint saucer 2, the paint outlet 3 is tightly plugged with a stopper 4, and a paint 5 is filled in for use.

Example 1 A sheet with a thickness of 0.5 mm was obtained by an extrusion method using Valex (trade name, manufactured by Mitsui Toatsu Chemical Co., Ltd.) as a high nitrile resin. The obtained sheet was vacuum formed to a length of 1,500 mm.
A plastic paint pan with a width of 300 mm and a depth of 150 mm was obtained. The resulting paint pan had no pinholes and had good workability during paint replacement work.

Comparative Example 1 The Example was repeated except that a plastic paint pan made of polypropylene was used. The thickness of the bottom corner of the resulting paint pan was 0.02 m5. During paint replacement work, the lack of rigidity of the pan made it difficult to attach it to the saucer, resulting in low work efficiency. Also, a pinhole appeared in the thin part of the bottom corner.
