Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance the natural purifying ability of streaming water by furnishing a turbulent flow generating part having a surface with projections and recessed at the inside of a U-shaped side gutter formed from the bottom wall and the two side walls. CONSTITUTION:A turbulent flow generating groove 4 is furnished at the side wall 3 of a U-shaped groove constituting a side gutter 1 for watercourse. The streaming water is allowed to run against this groove 4, and change is generated in the stream to enhance the agitation effect, and thereby oxygen absorption of the streaming water is improved. The side wall 3 shall consists of a plane, and bosses for generating turbulence are provided at the bottom to exert the same effect. Thereby the natural purifying ability of streaming water is enhanced.
