うな場所や周囲の美観があまり問題にされないような場
所に限定的に使用されており、このような場所的制限が
大きな欠点になっていた。河川底をコンクリ−トで固め
てしまうというやり方は、川魚の営巣や隠れ場所は全く
なくなり、自然環境を破壊する元凶の一つと目され、今
日では殆ど行なわれていない。
