Abstract

PURPOSE:To visually recognize each letter in equal size, so as to increase the commercial value of a cable by making a letter and symble to be displayed on the cable of the same size laterally and longitudinally, and by making their rectangle ares almost of the same size. CONSTITUTION:When a year (a), a logotype (b), a symbol (c) are to be displayed on a cable P, each letter is made of the same size laterally and horizontally, so as to be visually recognized of the same size. In this way, displaying method that does not decrease product value of the cable can be obtained.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION [Field of Industrial Application] The present invention relates to a method for displaying characters and symbols such as trademarks on electric wires when manufacturing electric wires displaying customer trademarks (OEM electric wires). (Conventional technology and its problems) In recent years, orders for OEM electric wires have been increasing.
When manufacturing this OEM electric wire, the customer's trademark symbol is written on the surface of the wire, but the basic shape of the font of the above trademark is specified by the customer company, and when changing the size, it is necessary to use a similar basic shape. The shape has to be the same, and we as manufacturers are not allowed to make arbitrary changes.

On the other hand, manufacturers are required to print the manufacturing year, type approval mark, etc. on the surface of the wire, and choose a font that is as easy to read as possible when printed on the surface of the wire.

Here, if the fonts of the customer's trademark, symbol, and the manufacturer's numbers indicating the year of manufacture, etc. are different, even if the characters are the same height, the trademark, symbol, and numeric characters will be visually perceived as different in size. Known.

To give a specific example, as shown in Fig. 3, the number representing the manufacturing year a of the electric wire P, excluding l, is the vertical dimension S and the horizontal dimension t (
(see Figure 2) is set at a ratio of 1:1.2, and the spacing between the numbers is also large. On the other hand, looking at the customer's trademark, the ratio of the vertical dimension S to the horizontal dimension t of the trademark character b is reversed, the character spacing is narrower, and four characters are further surrounded by thin lines. Comparing the manufacturing year a and the trademark letter b, the former seems larger than the latter, even though the heights of the letters are the same. This makes the product feel less valuable to the user. If we consider this perception in more detail, we believe that the difference in the size of letters perceived visually is caused by the size of the area occupied by one letter.

Therefore, in the manufacturing year a and trademark letter b, the former has the same size with a vertical dimension S of 1.0 m, and the latter has a vertical dimension S of 1.2 m and a horizontal dimension l. Both a, as oam,
When the area occupied by each letter b was made to be approximately the same, multiple people perceived both a and b to be approximately the same size. In view of the above, in the present invention, when it is unavoidable to line up characters with different fonts such as on OEM electric wires, the characters can be displayed so that the characters appear to be visually the same size. The task is to provide a method. [Means for Solving the Problems] In order to solve the above problems, the present invention provides each character/symbol to be displayed in a rectangular area consisting of its vertical and horizontal dimensions (the part surrounded by the chain line in Fig. 2). were made to be almost the same. [Effect]? The invention is based on the above-mentioned arrangement, so that when characters with different fonts are placed side by side, they appear visually to be of the same size. [Example] Next, an example of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2. In the figure, the year number a is MS x horizontal t dimension.
1.0a x 1.2m, line thickness 0.3m (excluding l). On the other hand, the characters of the character mark b given by the customer have dimensions of S x width T of l. Oms
XO. It was 8m long and the line thickness was 0.4mm. In addition, the symbol C given by the customer has length S x width T dimensions of l.
, ■x Q. It was 5mm. When they were lined up as they were, year mark a seemed to be the largest, followed by word mark b, and symbol C seemed to be the smallest visually, even though the heights were lm. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 1, the character quotient I1b maintains the similarity while increasing the vertical dimension S by 1.
Make it 2 cabinets, do the same for symbol C, and increase the vertical dimension S by 1.4 cabinets,
It now feels like they are the same size as their parallel cousins. [Effects of the Invention] In the present invention, as described above, each character is visualized in the same size, so that the commercial value of the electric wire does not decrease.
