Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance safety by providing standing indicators of recovering resiliency at proper intervals along a center line, and also laying a buffer of low height between the standing indicators, and making the buffer absorb impact generated when a tire makes contact with it. CONSTITUTION:Standing indicators 3 are provided at proper intervals l along a center line, and also a tubular buffer 4 of length l shorter than the interval land of low height is installed between the indicators 3, 3. The indicators 3 are each formed by a hollow column made of special polyurethane rubber and are fixed to a road surface 5, and a reflective sheet 34 is stuck to each of them. Visual guidance is clearly carried out by the series of the indicators 3 and, when a tire makes contact or collides with the buffer 4, the kinetic energy is absored and dispersed by the plastic deformation of the buffer 4 so that impact on the vehicle is buffered. Thus, safety is enhanced.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Field of Industrial Application] The present invention relates to a median strip for two-lane roads, particularly for two-lane expressways with two lanes on each side but with a speed limit of 70 km/h. The present invention relates to a method of configuring a median strip and an apparatus therefor.

[Prior Art] Some roads with two facing lanes are provided with a center separation 41F to prevent a running vehicle from crossing the center line and running out into the oncoming lane. Conventional median strips are made of light metal chatter bars, concrete blocks, etc., arranged in an array using anchor bolts.

However, the chatter bar becomes slippery when its surface becomes wet due to rain or snow, and is particularly dangerous if it escapes from the paved surface, making it undesirable for two-lane roads.

All of the conventional median strips mentioned above are made of hard materials, so when a vehicle comes into contact with or collides with them, the strong shock and vibration that occurs at that moment is transmitted to the steering wheel. The handle may be taken off. Furthermore, since conventional median strips are made of blocks as described above, there is a problem in that vehicles can easily cross over them.

Unless the speed limit of the two-way two-lane road connected to this expressway is increased, its value as an expressway will decline, so an expressway with two two-way lanes but with a speed limit of 70km/l has been approved.

When the speed limit is set to 70 km/h, it is desired that the median strip of a two-lane road has a function different from the conventional one. In other words, the median strip on a two-lane expressway does not make drivers feel uneasy while driving, provides clear line-of-sight guidance, and provides reliable guidance. When a vehicle contacts or collides with a median strip, it is desirable to prevent the steering wheel from being taken off by the powerful kinetic energy generated at that moment.

In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, the present invention provides upright markings having a considerable height, for example, about 8.0 ann, and having resilience elasticity, at appropriate intervals along the center line of a two-lane, two-lane road. At the same time, the kinetic energy is absorbed by plastic deformation when a vehicle tire contacts or collides between each upright sign and the upright sign.
A shock absorber with a low dispersion height of, for example, about 150 mm is laid along the center line, and the raised indicator guides the driver's line of sight and prevents the driver from receiving a shock when the vehicle's tires touch or collide. is absorbed and dispersed by the buffer.

On the other hand, stand-up signs are prepared in at least two types, one with a background color such as green that does not irritate the eyes, and one with a background color such as red that is irritating to the eyes. The main part of the installation will be upright signs with a ground color that does not give any irritation to the eyes, but upright signs with a ground color that will irritate the eyes will be installed over a certain section.

For example, stand-up signs with a green background color are laid for 2km, then stand-up signs with a red-base color are laid for 100m, and then green-type signs are laid again for the next 2km. If you do this, the green color will give you a sense of safety as it will not irritate your eyes, but if this condition continues for too long, you will feel tired, so for the next 100 meters, you will use the red color, which will irritate your eyes and give you a sense of safety. I will make it happen.
