着されると、掘削に際しての掘削機のバランスを
正しく掘削方向に維持することがむずかしく、複
雑な姿勢制御システムが必要となる欠点が有つ

より、機械のバランスを良好な状態に保持したま
ま容易に掘削することが出来、最近の楕円断面の
トンネルの掘削の要請に答え得る良好な楕円シー
